Alejandro Aravena (*1967 in Santiago de Chile) gründete das Büro 2001 in seiner Heimatstadt mit der Absicht, die soziale Not unmittelbar zu lindern, anstatt auf mehr Gerechtigkeit über einen Ausgleich in den Einkommensverhältnissen zu hoffen. Kein Dach über dem Kopf zu haben, bedeutet das geringere Übel gegenüber mangelndem Zugang zu Bildung, Arbeit, Gesundheit und Freizeit. Neben dem Bau öffentlicher Einrichtungen und Sozialwohnungen entwickelt Elemental neue Ansätze, um die Ressourcen und das Potential von Städten durch Infrastruktur- und Transportprojekte weltweit neu zu organisieren. Die Publikation dokumentiert die soziale Arbeit und Geschichte des internationalen Teams und zeigt Strategien der Finanzierung, etwa durch partizipativen Bau.Ausstellung: 13. Size runs wear!

The ankle area is super tight so it’s hard to put them on and harder to take them off. They run big because I wear a size 6 and these fit like a half size bigger. Returning them!

The struggle is worth it
Size: 13 Women/12 Men, Color: Black
It is a true struggle to get my feet into these. I bought size 12, and you would think they'd scale up the opening for larger foot sizes, but no. I feel like I'm going to rip the tag off every time I have to stretch them out to get them on. So far they have held up. (Tip: start with your foot sideways, then rotate the shoe once you get it in halfway to the heel.)
That said, these shoes are beautiful and comfortable (once you get them on). They're warm, and they perform well on the snow (after waterproofing).
