Children of Blood is een nieuwe Small Campaign Expansion voor Arkham Horror: The Card Game met 3 spannende scenario’s die samen een korte, meeslepende campagne vormen. Investigators gaan op zoek naar de oorzaak van recente onrust en belanden daarbij in de districten Waterfront en Northside van Arkham. De uitbreiding introduceert een nieuw chaos token, het blood token, dat investigators langzaam zelf in monsters kan veranderen. Elk scenario bevat extra variatie op basis van de gekozen moeilijkheidsgraad, waardoor je ze steeds opnieuw kunt aanpakken. Een nieuwe campagnereward laat investigators bovendien blood tokens meenemen naar andere scenario’s van Arkham Horror: The Card Game, wat dodelijke kracht geeft tegen de prijs van een stukje menselijkheid.

However there were just one too many convoluted plot points, sentences just did not flow nicely at times, and I was left with a lot of confusion on my end. I think it has the bones of being a great story but seems like it was rushed and I had to push myself to finish the last of the book and was left with an unsatisfying ending.
