Besonderheiten: Der Vieux Sajous 5 Jahre 2020/2025 ist ein bemerkenswerter Clairin aus Haiti, der die Entwicklung des Zuckerrohrbrands über fünf Jahre hinweg eindrucksvoll zur Geltung bringt. Unter der Leitung von Velier, einem Pionier in der Abfüllung von Clairin, wurde dieser Rum aus biologisch angebautem Zuckerrohr der alten Sorte Cristalline aus Saint Michel de l'Attalaye destilliert. Nach der Destillation aus frisch gepresstem Zuckerrohrsaft reifte der Rum tropisch in einer Mischung aus 19 Whisky-, Rum- und Bourbonfässern, was zu einer bemerkenswerten Aromenvielfalt führte. Diese vierte Ausgabe der Vieux Sajous-Reihe (nach den Jahrgängen 2017, 2018 und 2019) offenbart mit medizinischen Akzenten, pharmazeutischen und würzigen Noten die herausragende Tiefe, die Clairin nach mehreren Jahren im Fass erreichen kann.

  • Nase: Intensiv und raffiniert mit Noten von Muskatnuss, Kiwi, Honig und frischem Zuckerrohrsaft.
  • Gaumen: Kräuterig und würzig mit Anklängen von Zimt, Ingwer und geschmolzenem Zuckerrohr.
  • Abgang: Lang anhaltend mit Aromen von Schokolade und Vanille, ergänzt durch Hinweise auf Lorbeerblatt, Salbei, Enzianwurzel und getrocknete Banane.
