Der kürzlich verstorbene Bernard Schultze (1915-2005) gilt als einer der bedeutendsten Protagonisten der informellen Malerei, einer Spielart der nichtfigurativen Abstraktion. Er gehörte bereits 1952 zu den Gründungsmitgliedern der Gruppe Quadriga, der eigentlichen Keimzelle des deutschen Informel. Früh fand Schultze zu einer unverwechselbaren, Bildoberfläche und Farbsubstanz betonenden Malweise, die von Prinzipien des Surrealismus ausging. Seine Gemälde faszinieren durch das reliefartige, organische Wuchern der Form und einen suggestiven Kolorismus, der die überbordende Assoziationsfülle seiner Bildwelten prägt. Die retrospektive Monografie zeichnet das Spektrum seines Schaffens von den ersten Nachkriegsjahren bis in die jüngste Vergangenheit nach. Sturdy. Attractive

I really think it’s a pretty and well-made holder…I’m really pleased with the aesthetic design, but it is a bit short. Some of my longer necklaces would not work on that, but I do enjoy it for bracelets, shorter necklaces earrings, and the tray is nice which can be utilized for a variety of things. Overall, I am happy with this purchase.
