Seit den 1960er-Jahren beschäftigt sich James Turrell (*1943 in Los Angeles) mit allen Erscheinungsformen des Lichts. Über eine naturwissenschaftliche Untersuchung optischer Phänomene hinaus, öffnen seine Arbeiten die Grenzen zu spirituellen Erfahrungsdimensionen. Dieses Ziel verfolgt der Künstler seit 1974 mit dem Ausbau des Roden Crater – einem erloschenen Vulkan in der Wüste von Arizona – zum Observatorium. In diesem vielgliedrigen Evironment soll der Mensch in die Totalität des Lichts eintauchen können. In der 18 Meter hohen und 40 Meter tiefen Halle des Kunstmuseums Wolfsburg realisiert Turrell seine bisher größte Installation in einem Ausstellungshaus. Dieses Ganzfeld Piece erscheint wie der umgestülpte und um 90 Grad gedrehte Krater. Die Wolfsburger Installation bietet so einen Vorgeschmack auf Turrells noch unvollendetes, epochales Werk in Arizona. Great as a visual for my clients.

I highly recommend this chart. In my practice as a therapist I often go over boundaries with my clients and this is a good guide and visual for my clients rather than using the computer or sheets of paper. Clients have reported that it’s really helped them to understand more in our sessions about boundaries good quality and it’s erasable with the right markers.

Family Drama!

This authors whole series is worth looking into. I did buy a few and passed them onto my sister’s family hoping it will bring them more together. I have heard back from one of them that they are working together on the flip chart. I have learned that there can be one person in the family that is the peace-maker:)
