Geschichte: Der große Feiertag war der Weihnachtstag, an dem ein gesalzenes Gericht (Sule-Gericht) mit Schweinefleisch, Gurken, Schinken und Würstchen serviert wurde, begleitet von Blattkohl oder gedünstetem Weißkohl. Erst Mitte des 19. Jahrhunderts, als Heiligabend zum wichtigsten Feiertag in Dänemark wurde, wurde Klippfisch durch Gans, Ente oder Schweinebraten mit Äpfeln und Pflaumen, Soße, Kartoffeln und Rotkohl verdrängt.
