Am 10. Januar 1992 verlor die "Tokio Express" in stürmischer See im Nordpazifik zwölf Container. Einer davon öffnete sich – und rund 29.000 Quietscheenten trieben in die Dunkelheit hinaus. Getrieben von Strömungen, Wind und Wellen begannen die Friendly Floatees ihre lange Reise.
Fast 10.000 Tage später treiben noch immer einige auf den Ozeanen. Sonne, Stürme und Salzwasser haben sie ausgeblichen, doch immer wieder werden sie an Stränden angespült – zuerst im Pazifik, später sogar im Atlantik.
Der Ozeanograf Curtis Ebbesmeyer verfolgt ihr Schicksal seit Jahrzehnten. "Viele sind noch immer unterwegs", sagt er. Erst kürzlich wurde eine Ente an der Küste von Maine entdeckt.
Mit Hilfe künstlicher Intelligenz wurden die Gummienten verfolgt und zeigen sich nun in diesem lustigen Kalender.

"Project Management Mastery" describes the science and art of project management in a highly accessible and insightful way. Also included is a comprehensive list of references at the end, for those wanting to dive deeper into the subject. Overall, this is a great guide for new project managers, as well as a solid refresher for those reentering the field, or looking for an updated perspective.

What a wonderful book on project management. The author describes what project management is, how to create a project plan, and the different phases that exist. He covers traditional project management and newer versions of it that have evolved, such as Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, and PRINCE2. The author explains the various types of project management, what are the important tenets of each and which is best for different types of projects. He goes into a lot of detail into each phase, different software you can use, along with visualization tools available like Gantt Charts and Kanban boards. It is a good comprehensive book that goes in to detail into each area of project management, what you should do to be successful and the various places that project managers typically fail. Finally, he covers final deliverables, project closer and doing a project review and releasing resources. I thought it was a very good book, well done and one that any project manager would love to have as a resource.

For The Seasoned Project Manager and the Beginner

It takes a talented writer to write for the expert and the beginner in the same book. But that is how Mr. Hayden writes in this book.
