Rarest of the rare, vintage Zandra Rhodes museum-level piece from her very first collection in 1969, "The Knitted Circle". This exceptional treasure can found in all of the world's finest museums: The Met, The V&A, LACMA, RISD, and more. This particular piece has it's own additional incredible provenance - obtained from a private collector who acquired it from Christie's back in 1996, this very piece once belonged to Swedish model and actress Britt Ekland. Vibrant yellow wool with contrasting multicolor trompe l'oeil print of 'knitted designs', with the 'diamond and roses' print on the bottom. Quilted curling collar that can be closed in a variety of ways, with long yellow corded tassel strings adorned with multicolor beads. Hook and fasten closure at front underneath the collar. Otherworldly balloon sleeves with an elastic gathered cuff. An ultra wide, full circle sweeping bottom that extends from yoke. Fully lined. Completely jaw-dropping and amazing. A near once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to own.
