The 2020 Hawkes Bay Chardonnay shouts peach, spice, apricot, melon with a splash of oak. It is very approachable. There is a small portion of malolactic fermentation. The palate exhibits good length, hence it is an ideal food wine. All the grapes for the Hawkes Bay Chardonnay were grown in their vineyards 65% at Ohiti Estate in the Ohiti Valley and 35% in at the winery vineyard.

Light straw gold in colour. The 2020 Hawkes Bay Chardonnay shouts peach, spice, apricot, melon with a splash of oak. It is very approachable. There is a small portion of malolactic fermentation. The palate exhibits good length, hence it is an ideal food wine.
All the grapes for the Hawkes Bay Chardonnay were grown in their vineyards - 65% at Ohiti Estate in the Ohiti Valley and 35% in at the winery vineyard. The yields were light hence there is a good concentration of flavor.
Immediately after harvesting on the 15th and 28th of March, the grapes were pressed, and the juice was immediately chilled. Following settling and inoculation with a selected yeast strain, the juice was racked and fermented in stainless steel initially and then transferred to barrel.
