The Nikon AF Nikkor 28–80mm f/3.5–5.6D lens (JL11) has been thoroughly inspected, cleaned, and tested by CPB Darkroom. It is in excellent cosmetic and optical condition with smooth zoom and focus movement, snappy aperture blades, and clean glass free from haze, fungus, or separation. Introduced in the late 1990s, this compact and lightweight zoom lens was designed for Nikon’s AF film SLRs such as the F70, F90, and F100. Covering a versatile focal range from wide to short telephoto, it performs well for everyday subjects including portraits, landscapes, and travel photography. The “D” designation allows distance information to be transmitted to the camera body for improved flash metering accuracy.
Fully compatible with all Nikon F-mount film cameras and with most Nikon DSLRs that feature an in-body focus motor. On modern digital bodies, it provides autofocus on higher-end models and manual focus on entry-level cameras.
