This 2.97mm is the perfect replacement to the stock GoPro®
lens if you desire as wide a field of view (FOV) as possible without the fisheye curved barrel distortion. Since it is only a 5MP (megapixel) lens, capturing media in a higher resolution (4K video, 7MP, 11MP, & 12MP photos) will be less sharp as compared to the stock lens. The design of this lens can cause the lens to produce more lens flare than the stock lens, so using a lens hood or circular polarizer filter will greatly reduce it. If you are looking for a sharper lens please see our other lenses with MP rating higher than 5MP.

This lens option does not have a filter installed, which means you will capture all the wavelengths of light from about 400-1000nm. This means that you are capturing RGB + NIR. It will look similar to a RGB image but overly pink and colors will be dulled/muted. |
