The BavarianSimTec Asetek QR is the BST-specific version of the Invicta™ Quick Release Adapter — engineered in close collaboration with Asetek SimSports to allow all BavarianSimTec steering wheels to mount directly to any Asetek wheelbase with no USB cable between wheel and base. The electronics and internal USB wiring have been modified so the QR connects directly to the wheel via USB-C or the internal BST connector, keeping your cockpit completely cable-free at the hub. The BST QR is designed to work with the full current BavarianSimTec steering wheel range and all Asetek SimSports wheelbases. The compatibility charts below detail exactly which wheel and base combinations are supported.
Why No Cable Matters.
Standard quick releases route a USB cable between the steering wheel and wheelbase — visible, exposed, and vulnerable. The BST QR eliminates this entirely. BavarianSimTec worked directly with Asetek from the very beginning of development to modify the QR's internal electronics and wiring so the wheel connects cleanly through the QR itself. The result is a cockpit with no trailing cables at the wheel hub — the only clean and sensible solution.
