A flexible way of maintaining the eye contact with on-camera talent/interview subjects with your camera, the EyeDirect Folding Mark E is more than just a portable teleprompter that feeds your on-camera subject lines to read; it also provides a way for your on-camera subject to maintain eye contact with the interviewer while looking directly at your camera. Suitable for use with cameras from DSLR or Mirrorless up to full-size camcorders or digital cinema cameras with large lenses.
As a prompter, the Folding Mark E supports iPads/tablets up to 7 x 10" and 3/8" thick (neither tablet nor prompting software is included.) It features a 50/50 beamsplitter that allows the talent to see the text without it showing up on your image. Removing the iPad/tablet is where the design of the Folding Mark E shines, as it allows your on-camera talent to look directly at the camera, yet see the face the interviewer behind the camera, or someone off to the side. Or you can also insert a picture or headline into your subject's eyeline without having them look off camera to see it.
- The Folding Mark E is exactly the same as the EyeDirect Mark II, except that it is foldable and packs into a smaller size for transport and storage. It allows you set up with the interviewer behind the camera and off to either side, and still have the on-camera talent make eye contact with the interviewer. Plus, you no longer have to worry about the interviewer leaning into the shot. Your on-camera subject maintains focus and eye contact with the interviewer while looking directly into you lens, and thus making a strong connection with the audience.
- The unit can be set up so that the interviewer can sit on either side of the camera without changing the functionality of the unit. This allows you to frame and compose the shot as you normally would, without compromises.
- The wing features 40° of lateral adjustability and 35° of tilt adjustment. This allows the interviewer to find a comfortable position and still make eye contact with the on-camera subject.
- Removing the wing allows you to install the tablet accessory, which in turns enables the unit to be used as a teleprompter.
- The Folding Mark E mounts on an 18" long plate that mounts onto your tripod. This allows you to balance your system using a variety of cameras from DSLR and Mirrorless to ENG or digital cinema cameras, as well as using prime or zoom lenses.
- Made primarily from ABS plastic the Folding Mark E is a lightweight system that features a 50/50 beamsplitter, and can be used as either as a teleprompter using the included tablet accessory, or an optical device that allows your subject to look at the interviewer (or other person) yet maintain eye contact with your camera's lens.
- The unit supports tablets from 5.5 x 9" to 7 x 10".
- The Folding Mark E features a 160mm opening on the back for lenses. It includes a rubber donut that can be used with lenses with an outside diameter from 52 to 80mm.
- An included DSLR riser block enables using DSLR or Mirrorless cameras.
- You can adjust the height of the unit approximately 4.5" to center it on your camera.

Fantastic performance with respect to privacy and room temperature.

While this standing room divider is tall and wide enough to provide a nice privacy barrier, it also allows light to filter through while maintaining that privacy. Assembly was easy with simple to follow directions and the only place I struggled was in pulling the fabric down to connect it. Similar to putting on a compression sock- it takes time and stretching/pulling. I don't think I ever got it to line up completely at the bottom and velcro together like it should, but it is a fantastic benefit. I have a home office on the ground floor, so when the curtains are open, it's not entirely unexpected to have a passerby look in as they go past. This provides basically a wall for them to look at. And I love it. Aside from the privacy, an unexpected benefit is wind control. On hotter days, my dog likes the window open, but hot to him may be cold to me, so I open it for him and allow this instant wall to shelter me. It is surprisingly effective at keeping the cold breeze from reaching me. I could not be more impressed with this divider. It stands on its own and provides privacy and temperature regulation through it's sturdy frame and thick (light-friendly) fabric.

Hiding from Coworkers Has Never Looked So Classy

Let me tell you something: this divider isn’t just a piece of furniture...it’s a sanctuary, a confessional booth for the emotionally exhausted, and a glorious wall between me and other people’s nonsense. I slid behind this beauty like a barfly dodging an ex, and baby, I felt safe.
It's lightweight, but sturdy enough to block out both sunlight and bad vibes. The fabric’s got a fancy little texture, which is great if you're hiding and still wanna feel aesthetic. It moves easy, it stands tall, and it gives me just enough space to eat my sad desk lunch in peace while pretending I’m in a better timeline.
Final Word:
Perfect for offices, bedrooms, dressing rooms, or wherever you need to spiritually disassociate. Whether you’re blocking out sunlight or Barbara’s unsolicited MLM pitch, this thing’s got your back. Literally.
Five stars. Would (and likely will) emotionally withdraw again.

Great quality, perfect height to block the sun from the skylights.

We have skylights in our home that don't have shades yet so when we are in our loft, the sun will either blind us or make it unable to see our monitors clearly. So while we're waiting on installing shades, we thought to get a cover to block out the sun and this is perfect! It's tall enough to block out the sun and easy enough to move around as the sun moves. I don't love the way the cover looks, but it seems like it might be changeable. I think for privacy when we have guests in the loft, we would need a few more of these. The base is very sturdy and the quality overall is perfect. It is pricey, but most of these panels are. So really happy with this divider!

Works great but lacking value
Color: Nocturne
It's a well packaged item including a simple tool set and a clear instruction. No smell. I put it together just by myself in about 15-20 minutes without any problems. The base is solid pieces of metal, and it stands very sturdy. It's also light enough for me to move it around in my office to serve different purposes. I like the color and the quality of the fabric. It blends in with my office space perfectly. I needed it as a partition between my desk and the door, and the background for my video conference call. Surprisingly, it can also deflect the air coming down from the AC vent behind my desk. I didn't expect it to 100% soundproofing (not its purpose), but I feel it did absorb some humming sound from my mini fridge behind my desk. Sturdy metal for free-standing, yet pretty light weight for easy assemble and to move around. Keeping it beside my desk to separate lounging and work area, and I could move it easily if I want a conference-call backdrop. I can tell some difference in the sound absorption, as my all-in-one space (kitchen, dining, work, living) area can sound loud at times, it does provide some damping effect. But I must say for the price I was expecting more. More solidity and weight. More privacy. It's just not very big for the price paid. A good price for two panels but this was just a single.

High quality divider, but at a high cost

So if you've ever been into an office setting you've likely encountered some variety of this divider. There's a bunch of good things about this product.
-It's a nice size
-There are great color options, went with Nocturne and no regrets with that
-It's sturdy with a good base
-Offers a bit of sound deadening
The biggest drawback of this product is the cost. It's pricey for ONE divider. I'm sure it would make a great set, although for me it would fiscally irresponsible.
