"It has been fascinating watching Les Clans find its rightful place in the small but perfectly formed pantheon on truly great rosé wines. For the first few vintages of this wine’s release, it had to put up with being Garrus’s less interesting and slightly lighter sibling. But while Garrus received all of the accolades and some perfect scores (from me!), Les Clans never complained. More recently, I have documented in detail Les Clans own character slowing forming and, in the last few vintages, blossoming into a vital individual in this tremendous estate’s portfolio. Last year’s 2019 was a triumphant wine, sultry, sexy, detailed, sophisticated, alluring, forward-drinking and yet blessed with every bit as much glamour and couture as its more structured and more age-worthy, headline-grabbing stablemate, Garrus. In 2020, Les Clans went one step further. It has now introduced even more depth of flavour and length on the finish. You will no doubt be familiar with just how incredible Whispering Angel and Rock Angel are in 2020. Les Clans takes Rock Angel’s impact and bravado and then elevates this impressive delivery of flavour to an otherworldly level of excitement. This wine is near perfect in its perfume and also its palate complexity but it is the approachability, given its breeding, which makes this the most astounding Les Clans to date."

"It is always such a joy to taste the new Esclans releases 2019 Les Clans is a masterclass in balance and poise. Château d’Esclans wrote the rulebook on crafting statuesque rosé wines and while all others have floundered around for a decade or more, over-oaking, over-macerating, over-blending and generally making all of the mistakes imaginable, this imperious property nailed the recipe first time around and has been fine-tuning ever since. The investment in winemaking equipment here would make both an accountant and a bank manager faint, but the vision and determination of owner Sacha Lichine have paid handsome dividends and more now that Whispering Angel is not a lone figure on the international circuit but a veritable heavenly chorus. It is clear to me, having tasted legions of 2019 rosés that this is a brilliant vintage and therefore great wines must be expected to step up. Les Clans is always built with exacting precision and so it is hard to imagine where improvements can be made! That said, I am of the mind that this is the finest release of this celestial wine to date and the superb silkiness is but one of its extraordinary attributes. Les Clans is sometimes guilty of being a little shy on the nose, but this 2019 is positively forward as it rushes from the glass to greet you. In terms of the balance, this is a full-framed wine but it seems effortlessly graceful, too. We have come to expect greatness from this label and this is what 2019 Les Clans dutifully rewards you with. While other estates strive to make wines with this level of gravitas most fall well short of the mark. Château d’Esclans will one day have true rivals, but for now, if you have the choice and also the budget to spend, then this is the wine that you will want in your glass."

Good start to a series

I delayed reading the series for reasons I don’t remember. But my TBR list is huge so I thought I’d take a shot of this and I was pleasantly surprised. I didn’t think the blurb about it was anything special. But it was a very good book. It took some interesting twists and turns. I am so glad the second book is already out. Because I would not have waited patiently. Very slow burn but good storyline. 🔥🔥/5

A good read

Multiple points of view. 3 Alpha men and an Omega male. She is a Beta in training for a new program placing betas in Alpha/Omega packs. Mila is only doing the program for the money to take care of her dad. She wasn't expecting to fall for a pack but when she sees this packs Omega she is done for. There is just something about him. His Alphas are good looking as well. Too bad she is hiding a secret and their government is acting shady. I liked it and can't wait to see where their story goes.

Slightly repetitive but I did love some things

I love this type of story. And omegaverse is one of my all time favorite genres. But there are a few things that pulled me out of my enjoyment while I was reading. It was repetitive at times as well as struggled with telling not showing. So we didn’t always feel like we were experiencing things with the main character. There were also some plot holes but they may still be answered in part 2.
Now this isn’t to be said I didn’t enjoy parts of the story. I loved the almost instant love between Mila and Oliver. And how he started changing around her.

delightful read

What a delightful read. The characters are awesome, the plot was so good, I loved it. I was intrigued and it kept me wanting more. Told in multiple pov, the book sucks you in and doesn’t let go. I cannot wait to read the next book.

I loved the plot of this book. The characters just didn’t have a lot of depth. The connections and “love” just weren’t communicated very well in the writing. The author didn’t write the sweet psycho trope very well at all either. Lachlan was just a mess of a character.
