Reviving Vintage Glow for Modern Narratives
The Arles Lustre is a characteristic high-speed prime lens series and a brand new exploration of cinematic artistry by DZOFILM. "Lustre," meaning "soft glow," draws inspiration from the iconic golden halation in cinema history.
To craft this large-format lens collection designed for stylistic expression, we collaborated with over 20 cinematographers and photographers specializing in art films, period dramas, and fashion advertising. Based on the sophisticated delicate design of Arles prime, after more than 50 rounds of precise adjustments and refinements, from optical engineering to aesthetic design, we achieved the distinctive "Lustre Look".
Nostalgic Glow for Poetic Imagery
The Lustre series features a unique coating formula that delivers expressive amber flaring, with a soft, poetic glow that infuses every frame with a sense of nostalgia and emotion.
Ideal for indie films, period dramas, experimental films, and fashion commercials, Lustre creates a vintage aesthetic and emotionally resonant imagery. Its stylistic flares and soft contrast evoke a dreamy, evocative ambiance, enriching visuals with greater depth and texture.
Shaping Light, Enhancing Immersion
The T1.6 wide aperture design ensures ample light intake even in low-light environments, while the reconfigured optical structure offers enhanced control over flaring effects. The soft contrast reveals intricate shadow details and tonal gradations with precision.
