Installation Guide

1. Disconnect the spark plug wires and shift the outboard into neutral.
2. Place a drain pan under the lower unit and remove the gearcase drain and vent screws to drain the lubricant.
3. Remove the bolts connecting the lower unit (gearcase) to the engine's midsection.
4. Carefully lower and separate the gearcase from the drive shaft housing to expose the water pump assembly.
5. Unscrew the bolts securing the water pump housing cover and remove it.
6. Slide the old impeller off the drive shaft, noting the rotational direction of the vanes. Remove the old Woodruff key.

9. Slide the new impeller onto the shaft while turning it in a clockwise direction to correctly orient the vanes.
