Dive into the otherworldly adventures of 'The Martian Monster And Other Stories', a captivating collection of tales penned by a master storyteller. This engaging volume, published by W W Norton & Company, features 160 pages of imaginative narratives that blend elements of science fiction and fantasy. Among them is the poignant story of 'The Martian Monster,' where a 9-year-old boy forms an unusual friendship with a Martian in the woods. Tasked with confronting his tumultuous home life, the boy's plea for help takes a dark turn, revealing the complexities of familial relationships and the depths of childhood emotions. This collection is not just about whimsical creatures; each story carries sharp social commentary, as seen in 'And Then There Were Two!', where intelligent robots strive for world peace, only to face antagonism from power-hungry politicians. 'Prediction of Disaster!' draws readers into the suspenseful world of astronomy as a scientist races against time to warn humanity of an imminent solar catastrophe. Perfect for lovers of speculative fiction, this book explores themes of friendship, trust, and the consequences of choices in a rapidly changing world.

My last Timex and why.
Color: Black/Gray/Digital, Color: Black/Gray/Digital
New edit. Upon further reflection, I’ve only had, a couple of exploratory years with Swatch excepted, Timex watches.
My first one was when my mother replaced the Chicita Banana “tickity tock” sticker with a real Timex wind up watch before my first Cub Scout camp.
In addition to many other Timex products, I’ve had these Ironman watches for the past 25+years. Usually the band wears out and can’t be replaced after three or four years. This particular watch fell apart less than six weeks old. It wasn’t hit by impact. It just came apart while I was driving down the road. I wonder if they’ve changed their manufacturing process. See photo for details. What is truly infuriating is that rather than replacing it, because it is truly a warranty issue, the told me to ship it to their offshore repair facility (which could take 3-5 months) and pay what might be half the value of the watch. Things happen, but the intentional friction they have created to avoid their obligations borders on malpractice and speaks to their indifference toward customer experience and subsequent lifetime value.

As expected
Color: Gray/Gray/Digital
Just an old school digital timex. Tried and true. Has both 12hr and 24hr function on the time setting. Has a standard stop watch and timer. The battery is great, just as it always is on a timex. Good water resistance and very easy to use. Overall very good watch for the price!

Can’t read numbers
Color: Gray/Gray/Digital
Numbers are too small to tread on a 44mm watch

Love the Timex Ironman Shock watches!!
Color: Black/Black/Digital
I really like the Timex Ironman Shock watches. They are very durable and reliable. Simple to use and modeled after the. Original Ironman watches of the late 80s and 90s.
Buttons are clearly marked and easy to press.
They used to make many colors of this Shock model of the watch inc a cool shiny red color my wife still has .
I have been a runner many many years and at 65, am still out although a lot slower than my 20s. But Timex Ironman watches have. Been my constant companion on the roads and track for 35 years now.
