Unparalleled Accuracy and Reliability
At the core of the FireProtect 2 RB is a unique, patented smoke chamber that is dustproof and impenetrable to insects, eliminating the need for regular cleaning. It features a dual-spectrum optical sensor that distinguishes smoke from steam, a common cause of false alarms in kitchens and bathrooms. Additionally, two built-in thermistors provide a rapid response to sharp temperature spikes or when a critical temperature threshold is exceeded, detecting fires even without the presence of smoke. A dedicated chemical sensor also provides a crucial layer of protection by detecting dangerous levels of carbon monoxide (CO).
Seamless Integration and User-Friendly Operation
The FireProtect 2 RB is designed for straightforward installation and use. It connects to an Ajax hub via the secure Jeweller radio protocol, which provides a communication range of up to 1,700 meters in open space. The device is ready to operate straight out of the box with pre-installed batteries that offer up to 7 years of life. In the event of an alarm, a powerful 85 dB built-in siren will sound to alert occupants. When connected to an Ajax hub, instant notifications are sent to your smartphone, allowing you to take immediate action.
