Dual ended, this stimulator can be used externally, internally, or in combination for the ultimate user experience. The classic Rose offers users external air pulse stimulation, while the end of the Stem, thrusts for intense internal stimulation. The strong tether between each device is long enough that both the Rose and the Stem can be used simultaneously. This item is discreetly sized and can be tucked into a purse for easy travel. Operation how to use: both the Rose and the Stem end work independent of each other. The two buttons on the side of the Rose serve as both Power and function control for both stimulators. The top most button operates the Rose, while the bottom button operates the Stem. Press and hold the button of the chosen stimulator until the button lights - the device is now in standby mode. Press the same button again and that stimulator will begin to either pulse air or thrust. Cycle through each of the 10 settings in the same manner. Press and hold the same button to turn off the power. Both the Rose and the Stem ends can be operated independently or at the same time.

Helpful
Format: Paperback
This is a nice compliment to other classroom instruction materials. I am teaching an advanced pathophysiology course in a nurse practitioner program. This book is very helpful for students to put together the concepts of patho with the clinical setting. Will use these for in-class group assignments. Case-studies are thorough and offer a variety of different disease processes to choose from. It certainly does not offer a case study for every possible disease or clinical scenario, but does cover most major areas and enough variety in my opinion. Should be helpful in reinforcing the clinical significance of some difficult to understand concepts. I would recommend this text to course instructors.

Good book!
Format: Paperback
Very helpful book for pathophysiology. The CD not only gives you answers to the case studies but gives you clear details of the clinical Pathophysiology of a particular disease. Definitely recommend it to students going for their Master's degree!

No Answers Provided to Case Studies
Format: Paperback
The cases are helpful; however, realize that there are NO answers whatsoever to the questions presented in the cases--not a huge problem I suppose, b/c you can google everything, but certainly an annoyance. (esp. when there are multiple possible answers. The author states in the foreword that some of the cases are real; in which case, why not provide the justification presented in the patient's chart as to why that patient takes a particular drug, esp. considering that you may take a drug for its side effects rather than its therapeutic effect. . .anyhow. . )
I think if the author provided at least SOME insight/guidance to the cases that it would be much more helpful, but until then, I'm skeptical as to why others gave this book 5 stars.

Used this for a Patho class and thought it was a great resource. My group had hypertension and it was really good about giving an overview of the disease without overwhelming you with information. Some of the studies were obvious as to why the disorder occurred but in those cases it helped link body systems and show interactions.
