Little Audrey first appeared in the animated cartoon SANTAÕS SURPRISE in 1947, by Paramount
PicturesÕ Famous Studios. She then appeared in the Popeye cartoon OLIVE OYL FOR PRESIDENT. She
was immediately popular so of course Audrey was perfect for comic books. The first issue of LITTLE
AUDREY was published in April 1948 by St. John Publications. You read that correctly. The first twentyfour issues of LITTLE AUDREY were not published by Harvey Comics, but by St. John. Harvey licensed
Little Audrey, the character, in 1952 and later purchased the rights in 1958.
The early St. John LITTLE AUDREY comics, although in the public domain, are difficult to find.
Assembled in this book are issues #2 through 12, 14, 15, 22 and 23. I am looking for scans of the
other issues in the St. John series. If you have scans of any of the missing comics, please let me
know.
THIS BOOK IS AVAILABLE IN HARD COVER AND TRADE PAPERBACK FORMATS AS WELL IN BOTH FULL
COLOR AND BLACK & WHITE.

Outstanding Book
Format: Paperback
Great book, a classic that seems more timely now than ever! First read Dr Akbar’s book years ago and bought this updated edition to replace the copy someone borrowed & never returned (another sign of a good book when they don’t get returned). So glad to have this new copy to revisit the deep wisdom and insights Dr Akbar lays out. He explains the painful & persistent psychological & sociological chains of slavery clearly and irrefutably. This book is a must read for anyone who wants to better understand why it’s so hard to heal the terrible wounds of slavery — even today, even generations past physical shackles....

Quick & Informative Read
Format: Paperback
I only called it a “quick read” because when I get warped in a book, I lose track of time. This is one of those books. Quite an easy read. Recently Purchased the other books that were recommended with this one.

Format: Paperback
This book is a game changer in that it takes an in-depth look at the lingering and undeniable effects of slavery on the psyche of today's African Americans. It is thought provoking and thorough and a must read for those seeking to understand the why's of what's happening today in the lives of many African Americans and how it correlates to the savagery of slavery.
