The G-209 screw pin anchor shackles meet the requirements of federal specification RR-C-271F Type IVA, Grade A, Class 2, Except for those provisions required of the contractor.

What makes Crosby Shackles so special?

Crosby shackles are far superior to any other shackle we sell. Forged at high temperature (including the markings) these shackles receive no surface damage from hand stamping and do not suffer from weaknesses found in shackles manufactured from steel bar. No expense is spared by Crosby in the design and manufacture of these vital rigging components.

 

  • The capacities 1/3 up to 55 metric tonnes are grade 6
  • Forged, Quenched and tempered with alloy pins
  • Working load limit and grade 6 is permanently shown on every shackle
  • The shackles are hot dip galvanised or self-coloured and are fatigue rated
  • Shackles 25 Tonne and over are RFID-equipped (Radio Frequency Identification)
  • The Shackles can be provided proof tested with certificates to designated standards, such as ABS, DNV, Lloyds, or any other certification. Proof testing and certification available when requested 
  • The Shackles are approved to be used in temperatures ranging from -40˚Cup to 204˚C
  • 3.25t through to 25T G209 anchor shackles are type aproveapprovedV certification
  • All other 209 and 210 shackles can meet charpy requirements of 42 Joule (31 ft-lbs) Avg. at -20C upon special request
  • Meets and exceed all requirements of ASME B30.26
  • Type approval and certification in accordance with ABS 2006 Steel Vessel Rules 1-1-17.7 and ABS guide for certification of cranes

My veterinarian recommended the red Kong as a chew toy. I’d been buying my 13 lb, now 7 yrs old dachshund the flavored nylabone chew toy products “for aggressive chewers” since he was about a year old. He loves them and would chew them daily. All seemed well. On his last checkup the veterinarian even said that his mouth looked good, but we both could see that there was a brown tartar buildup on his back teeth. Since our veterinarian’s practice has one veterinarian who has dental training, I decided to arrange for a teeth cleaning for my dog. Unfortunately, although none of us expected it, once the tartar was removed from the back teeth it was clear that the teeth had cracks. One large tooth was even chipped down to where we could see the pulp! (Yes, I did note that he occasionally would suddenly squeal when chewing his nylabone, but I thought it was because he’d hit one of the sharp points on a well-chewed nylabone.) The vet recommended that two of the teeth be removed while the dog was still asleep. Then he recommended the red Kong chews for him and said that he would never recommend the nylabone for any dog. They are just too hard and he’s seen too many dogs (of all sizes) end up with cracked and chipped teeth that he (the vet) thinks could have been avoided. He recommended the red Kong for my small dog. The black Kong chew toys are harder and more suited for larger breed aggressive chewers. So far my dachshund is satisfied with chewing the Kong, so that’s what I’ll be buying from now on.
