Pro-Line PL-40 HP Single Phase to Three Phase Rotary Phase Converter

The Pro-Line PL-40 HP is a professional-series rotary phase converter built for large three-phase equipment that demands consistent, full-power operation. It is CNC-rated, digitally started, and designed to convert standard single-phase power into stable three-phase electricity for serious industrial use.

This unit is for operations where power is not optional and compromise is not acceptable. If you are running high-horsepower three-phase machines and utility three-phase service is unavailable, the PL-40 HP provides a reliable, long-term solution using the electrical service you already have.

Built for High-Horsepower Equipment

The PL-40 HP is designed for environments running large motors, heavy CNC machinery, and demanding industrial equipment that must perform reliably under load. It is commonly used in machine shops, fabrication facilities, agricultural operations, and industrial buildings where equipment runs daily and downtime has real consequences.

This is the level you move to when smaller converters are no longer sufficient and power stability becomes critical to operations.

Stable Three-Phase Power You Can Rely On

The digitally controlled soft-start system helps manage the startup of large motors by reducing inrush current and mechanical stress. Machines ramp up smoothly instead of starting aggressively, which helps protect both the converter and connected equipment.

Once running, the PL-40 HP delivers balanced, dependable three-phase power. Motors run cleaner, equipment behaves predictably, and power-related issues stop interfering with productivity.

Integrated Controls and Built-In Protection

The PL-40 HP includes an integrated control panel with a built-in motor starter and a digitally controlled and protected start circuit. Startup and operation are handled automatically, keeping operation straightforward and reducing complexity.

The system is housed in a NEMA 1 indoor-rated enclosure, designed for clean, dry environments where accessibility and protection are equally important.

Industrial Components Built for Long-Term Use

At the core of the system is an idler-generator motor from ABB Baldor, a trusted name in industrial motor manufacturing known for durability and long service life. The Open Drip Proof motor design is indoor-rated and supports reliable cooling during continuous operation.

This converter is built for long-term ownership. It is not a temporary workaround, but a permanent power solution designed to stay in service for years.

Energy Systems Central supplies power systems designed for real-world operation. The PL-40 HP reflects that approach, dependable, robust, and built to support the equipment your operation depends on.

Replacement stickers are on the way!!
Color: silver, Color: silver
Edit: Customer service was lovely and I have replacement stickers on the way. This fabulous product has helped me so much and I can't be without it. Back up to a 5 star review. I purchased this product in April 2024. The stickers that help the laptop 'grab' onto the stand are either gone or unstable. See picture below. Can it be repaired with new stickers? How do I get them?

Sixty Bucks? Yep. And I'd buy another one.
Color: silver
OK, I had my doubts. Yes, the iLevel2 is highly-reviewed. And yes, it's really (really) important to have your laptop screen at eye level (get it? iLevel?) But spending 60 dollars on an adjustable laptop stand? Couldn't I just pile up a couple of old books for free? Well, as a contractor once told me when I made a really dumb suggestion, "You COULD do it that way..." The iLevel2's main virtue is that the angle/height adjustment knob is rock-solid, as is the platform. It's just an extremely well-made, solid product. And the adjustment knob, which is on a left-right track on the front of the product, allows you to dial in your laptop's screen height to the millimeter. Result: a totally-custom, ergonomically-friendly setup. Love it.

Underwhelming
Color: silver
Too much hype. It just holds the laptop. Buy something cheaper. The slide adjuster isn’t useful to me at all.

Useful but not perfect
Color: silver
Useful, but typing with laptop perched on it is unsteady. I use a separate keyboard.

Why are people trying to type on a laptop stand?
Color: silver
So the overwhelmingly negative reviews you'll notice for this product specifically surround the "bounciness" of this stand when someone is typing on it—however what is confusing to me is how people are purchasing a laptop stand in theory to optimize their ergonomics, yet also stretching their arms out and elevating them to type on said laptop once it's raised. the point of a laptop riser/stand is to elevate the screen so that you can maintain a more natural posture. One would assume you have an external keyboard to use in conjunction with your laptop once you place it on a RISER, because the idea is to elevate your laptop as a SCREEN and then have a level/flat surface to type on, thereby alleviating any awkward hunching or neck strain looking down or anywhere not naturally eye-level. as it is, it's a perfectly functional and elegant laptop riser. I don't find myself wanting to adjust the height often if ever, but in the one or two instances I experimented with it, found no mechanical issues. It looks nice with Apple hardware and allows me to have my laptop's screen flush with the bottom edge of my additional external monitor, so it serves my purposes well. for people complaining about how it bounces when they type on it ... STOP typing on your laptop's keyboard when you have it elevated on a riser! this defeats the purpose and probably also makes your arms tired—buy an external keyboard!
