This is General Finishes' easiest finish ever and the best oil and wax finish on the market. Hard Wax Oil is a high-quality urethane-solids polymer in a blend of oil & wax that enhances the natural look of wood. The urethane gives Hard Wax Oil improved chemical and mechanical properties over standard oil & wax finishes. Best used with optional GF Hardener to substantially shorten dry time and provide superior durability, and chemical and water resistance.  The recommended use is for interior raw wood furniture, millwork & woodworking projects. What results can you expect? It will not crack or peel, can be buffed to a slightly higher sheen, and is very EASY to use. This is a maintenance product. re-apply when wear becomes evident. 

  • One 4 oz bottle of Hardener is enough for 40 ounces of HWO, equal to 5 half pints.

Update: sweater looked great when I received. After 1 wash it looks terrible. Looks like it’s been washed too many times, material fuzzy and piled. I love the details of the buttons on the sleeves. It is SO soft. It’s not super thick as I can see my skin through it when pressing my hand up against fabric. However, it’s not see through when wearing it. It’ll be perfect in cooler weather and perfect in the winter with a coat but won’t cause me to overheat when in a heated environment. I do feel like it runs big. I could have sized down a size. Although I’m not sure if it’ll shrink after a wash or two.
