The Detrum iStone V3 combines V2 and Vector technologies into a single advanced solution. It's a high-performance 6-axis gyro stabilizer designed for RC aircraft. Featuring advanced flight stabilization, runway correction (ground steering assist), and broad receiver compatibility, it significantly enhances flight stability, control precision, and takeoff/landing performance.

Built around a 32-bit ARM processor and MEMS 6-axis sensor, the iStone V3 delivers real-time corrections across roll, pitch, and yaw axesβ€”making it ideal for both beginner pilots and experienced flyers seeking smoother, more controlled flight.

Compatible with standard fixed-wing, flying wing (delta), and V-tail aircraft, the iStone V3 is a versatile upgrade for nearly any RC airplane setup.

Key Features

Advanced 6-Axis Flight Stabilization

  • High-precision MEMS gyro + accelerometer
  • Real-time correction on roll, pitch, and yaw axes
  • Improves stability, tracking, and wind resistance

Integrated Runway Correction (Ground Steering Assist) Tricycle Gear Optimized

  • Automatically maintains directional control during landing and takeoff
  • Reduces veering and improves runway tracking
  • Dedicated wheel output for nose wheel servo

Four Intelligent Flight Modes

Switch easily via a 3-position transmitter switch:

  • Gyro Off Mode – Direct control for setup and testing
  • Normal Mode – Stabilized flight with gyro assistance
  • Safe Mode (Auto-Level) – Keeps aircraft level; ideal for beginners and recovery
  • 3D Lock Mode (Aerobatic) – Locks aircraft attitude when sticks are centered

Wide Receiver Compatibility

Supports multiple receiver types:

  • PWM receivers
  • S.Bus receivers
  • DSM receivers

Flexible Aircraft Support

  • Conventional fixed-wing aircraft
  • Flying wing (Delta) with elevon mixing
  • V-tail aircraft with integrated mixing

Fully Programmable via Programming Card

  • Mounting orientation (4 directions)
  • Wing type selection
  • Flight mode assignment
  • Roll / Pitch offset (level trim)
  • Gain tuning (angle gain & rate gain)

An epic naval history decades in the making
Format: Hardcover
Excellent ending to Dr. Rodger's three book series "A Naval History of Britain", with the same level of detail and interesting presentation of facts I have come to expect from reading other of his works over the years. For anyone interested in a comprehensive naval history of Britain (from which the US Navy inherited much of its tradition), I would highly recommend this series. In addition, "The Wooden World: An Anatomy of the Georgian Navy" is also quite a good read. My (incomplete, sadly) collection of Dr. Rodger's works will continue to hold a special place on my naval history shelf for easy reference in the future. I also hope Dr. Rodger's health has improved. The shipper unfortunately did not pack this book well, resulting in minor damage (mostly cosmetic - book is still entirely readable).

Answers Many Questions about Naval Developments
Format: Hardcover
The history offers a detailed and well organized account of the Royal Navy as it transitioned from sail to steam. Coverage included personalities, technology, tactics and strategy. The combination provided a complete appreciation of the dynamics at play, some unexpectedly. The details might be a bit much for a casual reader but offered plenty of avenues for research not available or compiled in one source. I look forward to the final volume, which should describe another watershed era.

Great Book with a different perspective
Format: Hardcover
This will be a short review of a very long book. I ordered the book expecting more of a history of the British Navy, but this is more of a history of Britain with respect to its navy. It is still excellent and authoritative, just different than I expected. I really appreciate a somewhat different perspective than I have found in some other books. For example, any discussion of Jackie Fisher I have read previously seemed to border on the hagiographic, whereas here he seems to get a very evenhanded appraisal. A great book, highly recommended.
