Description:

The TS6-HDR6 kit from ACT includes their popular Heavy Duty pressure plate paired with a 6-pad rigid race disc. ACT's pressure plates employ an exclusive diaphragm design to enhance clamp load, minimize deflection, and maximize clutch life. These pressure plates undergo a rigorous four-stage heat-treating process for unmatched performance and feature precision cover stampings for rigidity and consistency. The 6-pad rigid race discs are crafted with high-quality ceramic friction materials and a heat-treated chrome-moly hub for strength and durability. The lightweight, rigid design allows for quicker shifts and trouble-free service. While engagement with the 6-pad rigid race disc is harsher, shifting is faster. This disc is recommended for larger clutch sizes to absorb more heat.

The clutch offers a light to moderate pedal effort with aggressive engagement and increased gear rattle. Its moderate friction life is extended by ACT's exclusive diaphragm design, although the rigid design may increase spline wear. Carefully engineered, precisely assembled, and accurately balanced, this kit utilizes select ceramic friction materials for high heat tolerance and maximum performance. Recommended for race use only, it undergoes 100% clamp load testing and dynamic computer balancing for smooth high RPM reliability.

Despite all this, I'm taking a star off for the fact that *you have to buy an aftermarket converter* for it, because for some ridiculous reason, its cable end isn't a USB type A (which your previous phone's converters and probably many of your home's outlets use), but requires a 30W (no less) USB-C. So, there goes another $10 for the converter. Actually you'll probably want to buy two, for at least two rooms at your home, so there goes another $20.
