The very talented Angela Gooden's sultry vocals ride a rich groove, anchored by a heavyweight rhythm section and featuring a sparkling string section. Over on the flip-side, 'Doing Our Own Thing' is an exuberant instrumental jazz-funk boogie cut showing off a killer horn section to full effect. Nine minutes of peak-time euphoria that is over way too soon.
