The insulation-coverable downlight is an intelligent choice for those looking to save on energy costs. When paired with a GU10 LED lamp with a maximum power of 7w, you can place loft insulation loosely over its rear. This insulation helps diffuse heat quickly, reducing warmth and lowering electric bills. Furthermore, the downlight is easy to install! It has a twist-and-lock mechanism, push-fit terminal blocks, and is mains-powered, eliminating the need for an individual driver or transformer.
Our LED downlight works with any GU10 bulb, but to use its dimming function, you must use a dimmable GU10 bulb and a compatible dimmer switch. The GU10 bulb comes in cool white, natural white, and warm white LED colours, perfect for task or ambient lighting.
The downlight is not just a functional lighting solution but a safety feature. It's fire-rated to provide 30, 60, and 90 minutes of protection for solid joist ceilings and 30 minutes for web and I-joist ceilings. Its intumescent pad activates when exposed to a specific temperature, sealing tiny crevices and preventing the fire from spreading, ensuring the safety of your home.
