Kamek is the only Magikoopa that appears in the Yoshi games. Lone Magikoopas appearing in other games are often said to be Kamek. Occasionally, Kamek is actually intended to be the character in question, but is accidentally called plain 'Magikoopa' due to the fact that 'Kamek' is also the generic name for the species in Japanese.
