Some stories are partly true, others are entirely false, but all show the power of invention in history. Pythagoras emerges as a symbol of the urge to conjecture and "fill in the gaps" of history. He has been credited with fundamental discoveries in mathematics and the sciences, yet there is nearly no evidence that he really contributed anything to such fields at all. This book asks: how does history change when we subtract the many small exaggerations and interpolations that writers have added for over two thousand years? The Cult of Pythagoras is also about invention in a positive sense. Most people view mathematical breakthroughs as "discoveries" rather than invention or creativity, believing that mathematics describes a realm of eternal ideas. But mathematicians have disagreed about what is possible and impossible, about what counts as a proof, and even about the results of certain operations. Toughest dang balls I ever played with

These things are amazing. We have a ball obsessed Husky mix and he has destroyed Kongs, Chuck Its, and a whole lot of other ball shaped objects. These things? We bought the 4 pack because we bought 4 Chuck Its and they lasted a year, all 4 of them only a year, before they were destroyed. A year after buying these? We only bought more because he lost 3 of them. I think we did find one under the dresser after buying this pack... But the others? They either ended up thrown over the fence into the woods or lost in the holes in the yard the monster digs up. Other than a few pockmarks from his teeth and maybe some mud, they may as well be brand new even after a year or two. Probably the most chew resistant thing we've ever bought him. They're really solid rubber and since he hasn't managed to bite into them to take out a chunk, they're safe as hell. Being as big as they are, I don't worry he's gonna choke unattended on them like the usual size of ball. About the only concern is forcing breaks so he can have breathing moments when he manages to talk us into fetch outside. It fits in the larger Chuck It thrower too, so we haven't lost any value from having those torn up.

Sturdy bouncy fun!

Great product. My big 70lb Sheppard puppy loves it, hasn’t stopped playing with it since it arrived. She throws it about and chases it, had a good chew on it and even put it in her favorite toys bin. Sturdy, firm and very bouncy. And there are 3 more in the bag for an awesome price. Bright color will make it easy to find and holes thru it will prevent choking and I can string it on a line for training play.

Great quality balls for tough chewers. I love them, but wish the orange ones were available more...I've been checking cuz they are easier to find in the yard than the green that blends in. Our dogs love them and I like the weight for throwing.

The perfect toy for dogs!
Style: The Duo
This is perfect when you have 2 dogs who love to play Fetch! They no longer have to chase after the same ball! The balls that come with it are very sturdy, and the launcher sends both balls far enough away so that both dogs get plenty of exercise. It’s definitely worth the price!
