A figurative realist in the heyday of abstract expressionism, Fairfield Porter (1907-1975) painted himself, his family, and friends in New York City, in Southampton, Long Island, and on an island off the Maine coast, all depicting a relaxed and comfortable world that seemed to mirror his own affluent, well-connected existence. With virtually all of the artist's previous publications now out of print, this much-anticipated volume is an important addition to the literature on this great American master. Porter graduated from Harvard in 1928 and then studied at the Art Students League in New York with Thomas Hart Benton. Along with months in Maine, Porter lived in New York and from 1948 on, in Southampton where he purchased a large, late Federal-style house for his own expanding family. Porter painted several artist friends, including Elaine de Kooning, Larry Rivers, and Jane Freilicher. He was also close to the modern poets John Ashbery, Frank O'Hara, and James Schuyler. With a carefully curated selection of the artist's best works, John Wilmerding, a specialist in American art, gives full consideration to Porter's expressive compositions and a color palette influenced by his coastal surroundings. Subtle, great dog toy design!

These things are amazing. Stuff them with peanut butter and treats and freeze them of course, but football spike them across the yard to drive your overly hyped dog nuts! And the hole allows you to safely pry it out of a tug battle , just a great design! And it can bobble across a small living space without getting lost like a ball would. Love it!

Treats fall out way to easy

Kinda sorta awful at holding treats in it, they just fall out without my dog even having to touch it really. I spread peanut butter on the inside of the toy and freeze it..works much better that way, nay, works amazing that way. I got this toy to stimulate his brain, so he’s either much smarter than every other dog or the treats fall out too easy..I believe it’s the ladder.

Keeps My Dog Busy and Happy!

I bought this 2-pack of treat-dispensing toys for my large dog, and they’ve been a total win. The rubber is strong enough to hold up against heavy chewing, but soft enough that it doesn’t hurt his teeth. I like that it’s large, so I can fill it with kibble or small training treats, and it keeps him entertained for a long time.
The best part is how much mental stimulation it gives—he really has to work to get the treats out, which helps with his energy and boredom. I also noticed it slows down his eating when I use it for kibble, which is a huge bonus since he usually gulps food too quickly.
Getting two in a pack is great value. I keep one stuffed in the freezer with peanut butter for a cool snack on hot days and use the other for everyday play. Both clean easily with warm water and soap.
