Trailer sway can be a dangerous factor on the highway, especially with high-profile trailers or in gusty conditions. The CURT Sway Control unit works by providing constant resistance to the pivoting motion between the tow vehicle and trailer. While a single unit is effective for most standard trailers, CURT recommends the use of two sway control units for larger or more sensitive trailer setups.
Note: Sway control units should always be disengaged when backing up or when driving in slippery (rain, ice, snow) conditions to ensure proper vehicle handling.
