As a way of making him feel 'to home,' Feeding Tube has released his most recent slab of insane solo aktion, Heavy Death Hand, as splendidly 'out' an LP as anyone could ask for. Mazozma is a recent nom de musique assumed by Turner, following a passel of albums released under the name Ma Turner. And every one of them we've heard is a pure blitz of sound designed to make your brain feel all soft and runny. The vibe of the music is pure American zonerism - think of stuff like the Bobby J Records catalog, the Department Store Santas, Willimantic Shrin, and other LPs that seem to exist inside their own personal aesthetic continuum. One gets the feeling that they carry their own very real message, but that it is so deeply coded, so artfully fucked-with, and so weirdly personal that getting to it's essence is like trying to play chess with Kaspar Hauser. The music itself is rock-based, but abstract, chittering, and incredibly fascinating. There are lots of people who try to do something new and original with guitar pedals and keyboard toggles and altered vocals, but usually it just ends up sounding like stoner bong-dust. Mazozma's music coheres somehow, venting poison gases with a gentle scent and strange allure. All of Turner's albums are pretty amazing, but this one seems to go further in terms of pure sonic reach. The record more or less defines a very specific type of 'late night music,' one which is favored by people who embrace the aether at just around the time most of us abandon hope and wish only to slip into the arms of Morpheus. It is an upgrade from PRODUKT
There's a lot to like with this frother. First off, it gets super-fast. It has good power but struggles a bit through thicker liquids at high speeds. I really got it exclusively for frothing milk and making really smooth chocolate milk. For those things it works well.
I like the stand. I just keep a napkin under it so it will drip dry after rinsing. It is easy to clean because you can just run it on about medium under running water. I've been using it for about 3 weeks now, probably once every other day, and I'm still on the first charge. To me that is excellent battery life.
It spins true, even at high speed. The key is to treat it well and probably make sure to use the stand instead of laying it on the counter. Because of the high RPM, any imbalance or bend at all is really going to be exaggerated.
The only thing I am not crazy about is the control. I don't like that I have to twist it off while in the liquid. I wish there was just a switch along with the adjustment ring.

Powerful!

This thing is powerful and works great! I was hesitant about some of the negative reviews, but this is worth it so far. I use it every day and haven't charged it in the week that I've had it. Some people complained about turning it off.... It's not that hard. Just hold the button down for a second or two and it shuts off, no fuss. If you tap/press the button you'll cycle through the next speed and then off. I only use the first speed to make my protein shake and matcha. I feel like the high speed would just whip everything to pure foam! I'm hoping this lasts me a long time.

Quiet and Effective frother/mixer and Terrific Customer Service
Zulay Kitchen Powerful Milk Frother Wand
We ordered two Zulay frother wands and after just several months of continuous usage one of the units stopped working and the other one was sporadically working, where sometimes it would run “full power” and at other times it was barely spinning or turning the beverage.
I called Zulay and gave them my Amazon order number. After the Customer Service rep walked me through some minor things to check on the units she was also convinced that the units were probably defective. She had a replacement sent from Zulay along with a mini as a bonus for our troubles! And she had Amazon ship the other replacement unit.
Both shipments arrived promptly within days and we have been using them for months now without any major issues. We use the units (the two “standard” wands) almost every day and they get used two to three times a day. They only take ten to twenty seconds to mix up cocoa powder, hot or cold. And the same goes for different protein powder shakes.
What I especially like about these units is that there have been many times when I have had to use them off-hours, like between 5:00 and 6:00 AM. They are Whisper quiet so nobody gets disturbed. One generally can’t do this level of quiet stirring/mixing with a kitchen hand blender/mixer or shake blenders. These Zulay mixing units have really come in “handy” for us.
We are very Grateful to Amazon for their prompt delivery, and especially to the Customer Service representative at Zulay for her help, and to Zulay for standing behind their products and providing us with terrific and prompt Customer Service! Thank you!
