The Blackmagic Design Spares - Fan - HyperDeck Studio/Pro/12G is the primary cooling component for the HyperDeck Studio 1RU product line. Given the high-speed data processing involved in recording 10-bit uncompressed or ProRes video, the internal FPGAs and SSD controllers generate significant heat. This fan is critical for maintaining the thermal equilibrium required to prevent dropped frames or hardware failure.

Technical Specifications

This is a high-performance, low-noise DC brushless fan designed specifically for the restricted airflow environment of a 1RU (1.75-inch) chassis.

  • Type: Axial cooling fan.

  • Voltage: 12V DC.

  • Connector: Typically a 3-pin or 4-pin header, allowing the HyperDeck’s Main PCB to monitor the fan speed (RPM).

  • Bearing Type: Usually features dual ball bearings or high-quality sleeve bearings for extended 24/7 operation in server racks.

The Critical Role of Active Cooling

In the HyperDeck Studio Pro and 12G models, the internal components operate at much higher clock speeds to handle 6G-SDI and 12G-SDI data rates. The fan ensures a constant "pull" of air across the internal heat sinks of the Main PCB and the Power Module.

  • Thermal Throttling Prevention: If the fan fails, the internal processors will heat up rapidly. To protect itself, the HyperDeck may start dropping frames during recording or eventually shut down entirely.

  • Power Supply Longevity: The internal power modules in these units rely on the airflow generated by this fan. A dead fan is the leading cause of secondary power supply failure.

Signs of Fan Failure

  • Audible Noise: A grinding, rattling, or high-pitched "whining" sound indicates the bearings are failing.

  • "Fan Error" Messages: On newer models, the front panel LCD may display a warning if the PCB detects that the fan is not spinning at the required RPM.

  • Chassis Heat: If the top of the HyperDeck feels excessively hot to the touch (more than usual) and you cannot hear the faint hum of the fan, it has likely seized.

  • Intermittent Freezing: The unit may lock up or stop recording after 15–20 minutes of use as it hits its thermal ceiling.

Key Features

  • Genuine OEM Spare: Matches the exact CFM (Cubic Feet per Minute) airflow rating required by the manufacturer.

  • Quiet Operation: Balanced to minimize acoustic noise, which is essential for studio environments.

  • Standard Fit: Designed to mount perfectly to the existing internal fan bracket or chassis vent.

Technical Installation Note

Replacing the fan is a straightforward mechanical repair, but requires attention to airflow direction:

  • Directional Airflow: Look for the small embossed arrows on the side of the fan housing. One arrow indicates the rotation, and the other indicates the airflow direction. Ensure it is installed to pull hot air out of the chassis (exhaust) or as per the original factory orientation.

  • Cable Management: Use the original cable routing clips to ensure the fan wires do not touch the spinning blades or rest against high-heat components like the power module.

  • Dust Removal: While the unit is open, use compressed air to clean the internal heat sinks and the intake vents on the side of the chassis. A new fan cannot cool effectively if the airflow paths are blocked by dust.

  • Header Connection: Ensure the small plastic tab on the fan connector aligns with the notch on the Main PCB header to prevent reversing the polarity.

That ending 😫
Format: Kindle
I fell into a false sense of security and really thought this was gearing towards a happy ending. Then I realized there’s no work they don’t punish Andrew. I really liked Vale’s character. I don’t normally read books with pregnancy but going into this knowing she was pregnant made it more enjoyable for me. I loved Bishops devotion to her and her happiness. I also loved that Holt and Mercy couldn’t fight their attraction to her. I love scent matches so very much. I’m so curious to see how this duet will end up. And I need to pay more attention and notice that a book I’m starting is a duet to begin with lol

I just knew there was something about Cooper! I’m wondering if he’s about to be included but damn I’m glad he’s at least not a rapist and creepy guy, he just got called on assignment and had to go! This should be interesting! She’s gonna run and then what’s his face is gonna grab her. I’m worried! Wow that was a great book and cliffhanger! Loving this!

Not gonna lie Val kind of annoyed me at the beginning but she grew on me!! Her men are chef’s kisses!!! Holt annoys me some but I can let it slide. I already bought part two so I’m going to be reading that in between work phone calls!!!! DON’T TELL MY BOSS 😂😂😂😂

Baby bumps and bodyguards
Format: Kindle
Dark, emotional, and unexpectedly tender, Not Ready is an omegaverse romance that delivers found family feels, fierce protectiveness, and a very pregnant heroine who refuses to break. Vale’s on the run from a stalker, but lands in the arms of three private security alphas, cue the swoony tension, fake marriage twist, and slow-burn heat. It’s a little gritty, a little soft, and a whole lot addictive. If you love protective alphas, high stakes, and heroines with quiet strength, this one’s a must-read.

Strong Omegaverse Comfort and a Attention Grabbing Plot
Format: Kindle
Jillian West never misses when it comes to Omegaverse, and Not Ready is no exception. This story was the perfect blend of cozy comfort and emotional depth while still delivering a strong plot. Vale is such a powerful heroine, she is strong, capable, and determined but I love that she still allows her pack to love and take care of her. It’s that balance of independence and vulnerability that makes her so relatable. The relationship dynamics were amazing: Bishop is steadfast and completely head over heels, Mercy is skeptical but protective in his own way, and Holt is the hesitant one whose slow fall is so satisfying to watch unfold. The romance hits that sweet spot between insta-love and cautious build, keeping me hooked the entire way through. And that ending. Oh my god, the cliffhanger! I need the next book in this duet immediately.
