Alexander is the solo guitar project of New Haven, CT native David Shapiro (Headroom, Nagual). After spending most of 2016 and 2017 touring behind an on-going series of improvised cassette releases that document the various locations Shapiro has lived, he settled down long enough to offer up a full-length LP of fingerpicking tunes. The nine tracks that make up Alexander are bound together by a melancholy sweetness that evokes a performer's wandering lifestyle and the characters they meet along the way. Sonically tied to the 'American Primitive' school of guitar playing, Shapiro distinguishes himself with an exacting, almost academic focus, manipulating tempo and harmony with a confidence far beyond his young years. Where masters like Fahey and Basho drew from earlier musical lineage, Alexander incorporates a contemporary pool of influence, broadening the fingerstyle palette with patience and self-assuredness. Recorded on a guitar that Shapiro built himself, Alexander is an earnest and substantive debut that gives the listener a window into the player's intimate devotion to his instrument and the language it speaks. -Ian McColm Cover text by Cyd Goodwin. Is this a Casper or Tempurpedic?
When I went to wash the pillow covering I discovered that it iterally had a Tempurpedic factory pillow covering underneath the Casper factory pillow covering - leading me to believe that it was either a return item shipped out as new, and the previous owner actually returned a Tempurpedic pillow disguised as a Casper, or Casper is actually manufactured by Tempurpedic and uses the Casper brand to upcharge. Either way - it's turned out to be an overly expensive - mediocre pillow.

Does not cool, is hot actually
I am very disappointed with this product. I write a lot of reviews and give credit where credit is due. I wish credit was due here.
I bought this as a gift for my wife. She slept on it for a few nights and finally stated that it never cools and is hot instead. And so I tried it and found the same thing. I bought an inexpensive cooling pillow from Costco and we both found that one to cool a little bit and it isn’t hot.
I’m summary, you don’t always get what you pay for and at $100, this pillow does not deliver. It’s supportive and it seems well made, which is why I give it two stars. But it does not deliver any cooling. Save your money and try a different pillow.

Does what it claims, supportive and eliminates heat.

Its a bit pricey however when it comes to sleep quality im glad to pay for name brand. No tossing or turning to escape to the cold side of the pillow. Feels firm which was concerning at first however once you settle in its very comfortable. Seems to be just how foam pillows are made. Happy with the purchase.

I have found the PERFECT pillow for me!!!

I just absolutely never write a review on anything, but I have to praise this pillow from the rooftops! I have not slept this comfortably is so many years! I have plushness and support, my neck is in alignment, and when I turn to sleep on my side the pillow doesn’t block my airflow. This pillow is perfectly made for me!!!!

The Perfect Pillow
Size: Queen (Low Loft)
Finally found the right pillow for me. I have purchased quite a few latex pillows attempting to find the right one. I was apprehensive due to the support description being "extra soft". Yes, it's super soft when you pick it up and squeeze it, but it provides the perfect amount of support for side and back sleeping.
