The Bols family started the production of liqueurs in a small Amsterdam distillery called 't Lootsje. Lucas Bols, the grandson of the founder, was born in. When he, in 1700, became a major shareholder in the Dutch East India trading company, he had the privilege of first choice of newly arrived exotic herbs and spices, which helped him to create over 300 liqueur and spirit recipes. It was him who then also started to ship the Bols liqueurs all over the world. Lucas bols died in 1719 leaving a legacy that still lives on today. The Bols family started the distillation of the famous Dutch genever made from long fermented rye, wheat and corn. Bols developed a revolutionary new genever recipe with a more subtle flavour. This new Bols Genever was shipped to the United States and played an important role in the cocktail revolution. In the world's first cocktail recipe book, written in 1862 by bartender Jerry Thomas, one in four cocktails was made with genever. From 1883 Bols started maturing genevers. These genevers are aged on French Limousin oak casks. This aged genever inspired the Bols Genever Barrel Aged recipe, which was relaunched internationally in 2010.

Seems sturdy so far

Shipping was quick, the packaging and product came undamaged.
Cute.
This dog toy is super soft. The squeaker is inside and seems more durable than most others.
The little bit of rope at the bottom is not the typical material you find with other popular dog toys.
My GR enjoys playing fetch with it and hasn't destroyed it. I feel this product is a decent value and would get it again. Other options to choose from too.

The indestructible sharkie
High and low have I searched when quite by accident I just happened upon the indestructible sharkie. We are fast approaching the 24 hour mark and sharkie is still with us. He has thus far resisted the incredibly strong, outrageously aggressive and persistent chewing of my Bernese mountain dog. Most don’t make it 20 min, so a whole day?!? Miracle!!! Not in love with the incessant squeaking that has followed me, but then again… that’s because this is actually not simply a review but a love story between a dog and his shark toy. Where others have failed, this one has endured. My water fearing dog has an obsession with shark shaped toys so while it would be nice to see a different character, truth is… I’ll be buying more sharkies. A lot of sharkies. Yard sharkie. Work sharkie. Maybe not house sharkie… but you get the point.
