Tom Puentes weaves a captivating tale of friendship and transformation in The Monarch, a story inspired by the limitless possibilities of imagination. Tom Puentes is a high school history teacher and a retired postal worker. He is also a skilled woodworker, crafting unique lawn games and medieval chairs. In his leisure time, Tom enjoys playing games like Magic the Gathering with his son, nephew, and friends. He has a large family, including two adult children and has been married for thirty-seven years. At school, he sponsors the Animal Wellness Club, which focuses on supporting local animal shelters, especially important now due to the fires in Los Angeles. The Monarch was originally written for his niece many years ago when she was around seven years old.
