Twelve inch vinyl pressing. With MEL013, Melodies International are extremely proud to bring you at last, a disco anthem from Detroit that was originally recorded in 1980 and dedicated to the "King Of The Champion Fighters": Le Stim - A Tribute to Muhammad Ali (We Crown The King). Le Stim was a band formed by lead vocalist Donald Jennings in the late 70s. Now an ordained deacon back in Detroit, Jennings was brought up in a gospel environment and was said to be born to sing. Growing up picking up songs from the likes of Nat King Cole, Ella Fitzgerald or Sam Cooke, Jennings frequently performed for family and friends and went on to sing for audiences in New York, St. Louis and all-around Detroit. We Crown The King is a song written in the mid-70s by the late Herbert Andrei Duncan, also from Detroit. Duncan approached Jennings with the song who was initially reluctant to sing it because it took him out of his usual vocal range. However, Duncan finally (thankfully!) managed to persuade Jennings after five years to record a tune that would prove to become a party anthem decades later. Licensing this record has proven to be Melodies' biggest research effort as of yet and has involved visiting it's author, Duncan's former house in Detroit only to discover it had burned down and that his family had moved years ago. It wouldn't have been possible without the invaluable help of Jeremy from Rain & Shine records (NZ) who then managed to track down the family back in Texas!

Size down! But overall comfortable and cute and good quality
Size: Small, Color: Light Yellow
Overall it’s cute and comfortable, but my advice is to SIZE DOWN!!! I wish I would have, but I’ve already washed it so it’s too late. The straps are adjustable, but even so, I’ve had to tighten them as far as they’ll go. For reference, I am 5’1” and 125#, rectangle shaped/boxy body with a very small chest and I got a Small. The top gapes open on me and the dress is longer than I prefer for this style. Material/fabric is nice and good quality and it’s a perfect one-piece easy outfit for warm days. I like the yellow color too. It is tricky to find the right bra to wear with it, though. Got lots of compliments on it the first time I wore it.

Cute, Comfy & Flowy—Great for Plus Size!
Size: XX-Large, Color: Black
I really like this dress!
It’s super comfortable and lightweight, and the material feels soft without being too thin. It has a nice flow to it, so it doesn’t cling to your body, which I really appreciate.
For reference, I’m 5’4” with a 46” bust, and the dress fits well overall. The length is great, and I love that it has a relaxed fit—it’s easy to throw on and still look put together.
The pockets are also a nice bonus and actually usable.
The only thing to note is the top area can be a little more open on the sides, so I personally prefer wearing a sports bra or something cute underneath. It actually works really well styled that way and gives that “layered” look.
Overall, it’s a really easy, comfortable dress that you can dress up or down. I’ll definitely be wearing this a lot!

Great dress for running around town
Size: Large, Color: Coffee
I love this dress. I ordered this dress fist in a medium, then a large. I probably would have been fine in the large, but I just wanted a little more room and I wanted it to come to my knees so I ordered the XL and I love it. The material is a cotton knit type material similar to a t-shirt with a little stretch to it. I am 5'2", #170 and the XL gave me the fit I was looking for, being loose and comfortable. There is a second layer under the dress that has shorts and a tank top built in. Unfortunately, you must take the entire thing off to use the restroom but I am considering adding snaps to the crotch so that it is easier and I won't have to completely undress to use the restroom. The olive/army green is beautiful and I am planning to order the plum color dress as another addition to my summer wardrobe.

Cute Idea, But Fit Didn’t Work for Me
Size: Medium, Color: Coffee
The material was nice but also a little different than expected. It’s soft, just not quite the level of softness I was hoping for.
I do think it’s worth the price overall, but it’s not something I would personally wear 24/7.
I ended up returning it because the fit just wasn’t quite right for me. It was very loose up top but really tight around the bottom, which made the cut a little off for my body type.

Postpartum Certified!! :)
Size: Medium, Color: Black
I am currently a breast feeding mother who is only 5 weeks post partum. Heading into the summer I needed clothes that fit my changing body and gave me a little confidence that I’ve been lacking recently. This dress has completely done it!!
The material is extremely comfortable and not too tight on my body. It’s long enough to give me the coverage that I’m comfortable with but still makes me feel cute. Without knowing how to shop for or what size my body is at after birth, I listened to the comments and got a medium when I was thinking I might be a large and it fits great! Definitely size down though! I will be getting more!!!
