The Hanwha Techwin SLA-5M4600Q is a compact, high-performance fixed lens engineered for surveillance cameras that demand sharp image detail, versatile field of view, and dependable low-light performance. Designed to fit standard M12 mounting systems, this 4.6 mm focal length lens (with an aperture of f/1.6) is ideal for installing into a wide range of security cameras where image clarity and reliability matter most. Whether you are outfitting a small storefront, a parking area, or a multi-camera campus installation, this lens delivers consistent, dependable results with minimal distortion and excellent color fidelity, making it a trusted choice for professional security deployments.

  • Premium 5MP-compatible fixed lens: Built to align with 5MP surveillance cameras, the SLA-5M4600Q provides crisp, detailed imagery that helps security teams identify faces, license plates, and other important details with confidence. This lens is optimized to deliver clear edge definition across the frame, reducing blur and enhancing scene accuracy in fast-moving or dynamic environments.
  • Selectable focal lengths for flexible coverage: While the primary offering is a precise 4.6 mm focal length, Hanwha Techwin also provides fixed lenses in 3.7 mm and 7.0 mm options. This allows you to tailor the field of view to the specific surveillance scenario—opt for a wider view to cover larger areas or select a longer focal length to focus on distant objects. The SLA-5M4600Q family covers a range of coverage needs without sacrificing image quality.
  • Outstanding low-light performance: Achieve usable imagery in dim lighting thanks to a bright aperture of f/1.6 and a sensitivity specification that supports 0.16 lux at F1.6. This makes the lens well-suited for nighttime monitoring, dim hallways, entryways, and other challenging lighting conditions where other lenses may struggle to capture essential details.
  • Compact, robust build for easy integration: With a compact form factor—approximately 1.4 inches in length and 1.4 inches in diameter—the SLA-5M4600Q blends seamlessly into tight camera housings and discreet installations. The lens is designed for enduring operation in security environments, offering stable performance in varied temperatures and setups when paired with appropriate housing and mounting hardware.
  • Simple compatibility with M12-mount cameras: This lens is purpose-built for M12-mount surveillance cameras, enabling quick upgrades or replacements without complex adapters or bespoke components. It supports straightforward installation on a broad class of IP and analog cameras that use the popular M12 lens interface, helping installers reduce project timelines and ensure consistent imaging across a site.

Technical Details of Hanwha Techwin SLA-5M4600Q

  • Mount: M12 (standard M12 lens interface for many small to mid-size surveillance cameras)
  • Focal Length: 4.60 mm (primary option) with selectable fixed-lens family available in 3.7 mm and 7.0 mm for different field-of-view needs
  • Aperture: F/1.6 for strong light-gathering capability and shallow depth of field control when needed
  • Resolution alignment: Optimized for 5MP surveillance cameras; supports high-detail imaging with color and black-and-white (BW) performance depending on camera mode
  • Size and form factor: 1.4 inches in length and 1.4 inches in diameter, enabling compact installs and unobtrusive mounting
  • Construction: Durable fixed-lens design suitable for security deployments; designed to integrate with a wide range of M12-mount camera housings
  • Performance notes: Fixed focal length means consistent focus for the intended distance range; focus adjustments are typically managed through the camera’s own focus settings or via the lens selection during installation

how to install Hanwha Techwin SLA-5M4600Q

  • Power down the camera and verify the replacement lens is compatible with the camera’s M12 mount and overall electrical and optical specifications.
  • Remove the existing M12 lens from the camera’s lens holder, taking care not to damage adjacent components or seals if the camera is housed in a weatherproof enclosure.
  • Carefully align the SLA-5M4600Q with the camera’s M12 thread and begin threading by hand to avoid cross-threading. Tighten until the lens is seated firmly but do not overtighten, which could damage the thread or housing.
  • Once secured, verify that the lens is correctly oriented to provide the intended field of view. Since this is a fixed focal length lens, any focus or framing adjustments should be performed through the camera’s own configuration settings or by selecting a different focal-length lens in the SLA-5M4600Q family if your application requires a different view.
  • Power the camera back on and perform a test capture. Check for image sharpness, exposure, and color balance across the scene. If needed, adjust camera exposure, white balance, and scene parameters to optimize the overall image quality for the surveillance environment.
  • Mount the camera in its operational position and confirm stability. Ensure weatherproof seals and connections remain intact if the installation is exposed to outdoor conditions.
  • Document the installation details, including focal length choice, mounting orientation, and any camera-side adjustments, to simplify maintenance and future upgrades.

Frequently asked questions

  • Q: What focal lengths are available for the SLA-5M4600Q family?
  • A: The primary lens is 4.6 mm, with selectable fixed-lens options in 3.7 mm and 7.0 mm to cover a range of field-of-view requirements. This provides installers with the flexibility to tailor coverage for different camera placements and scene sizes.
  • Q: Is the lens suitable for low-light environments?
  • A: Yes. With a fast aperture of F/1.6 and a 0.16 lux performance at F1.6 specification for the 5MP configuration, the lens is capable of delivering usable imagery in low-light conditions, particularly when paired with cameras that optimize sensitivity and exposure settings.
  • Q: What type of camera mounts does it fit?
  • A: It is designed for M12-mount cameras, a common standard in compact surveillance devices. This makes it compatible with many IP and analog security cameras that support M12 lenses.
  • Q: Can I adjust focus with this lens?
  • A: This lens is a fixed focal length lens. Focus adjustments, if needed, are typically managed through the camera’s focus controls or by selecting a different focal-length lens in the same product family during installation.
  • Q: What resolutions does this lens support?
  • A: The SLA-5M4600Q is designed for 5MP cameras, providing high-detail imaging suitable for security applications that require precise identification and scene detail. For color vs. BW, it supports the corresponding modes offered by the camera system and the specific SLA-5M4600Q variant being used.
  • Q: How do I optimize the field of view for my installation?
  • A: Choose the focal length option that best fits your scene. For a broad entryway, a shorter focal length (3.7 mm or 4.6 mm) often yields a wider view, while a longer focal length (7.0 mm) focuses more on distant objects. Install the lens in the camera, then fine-tune framing and exposure in the camera’s settings to achieve the desired balance between coverage and detail.

Missing the Busy Hands Papercraft Project page
Format: Paperback, Format: Paperback
This comic is missing the last page. The Papercraft project cut out page. The Instruction page is included. But not the page to cut-out the figures and base. I think is is a factory defect. It doesn't appear to be damaged or show any signs of the page being cut out. This item is new. So I think this mistake is from the manufacturer. I thought the "Star Drek", was pretty funny. Homer is the captain and he uses an actual wooden log, as his captain's log. I like the comic, the only downside was the missing last page. That was very disappointing.

Great stories; like the older episodes on paper
Format: Paperback
This is a great set of stories from the Simpsons. Like watching an episode, but it's on paper! I love the homerisms! They always make me laugh. You definitely get a good sense of the old characters and some some new ones too. It is like watching the show around season 9-10.

"No time to unwrap, just light the whole pack!"---Selma
Format: Paperback
Another excellent, 174 pages of "The Simpsons." Some of these comics are better than their later episodes. This book includes appearances by some less frequent characters like Doctor Nick, Homer's former psychotic boss Hank Scorpio, Luann Van Houten's boyfriend Pyro, Dr. Colossus, and even Waylon Smithers's favorite 8 1/2-incher...Malibu Stacy! "Judge Marge"--Marge becomes a T.V. judge and her frequent absence causes her household to fall apart. I like the part where Lisa goes on a power trip after she starts wearing a monocle. "Stacy's Busy Day!"--A comic short for Malibu Stacy! I love it! Let's have more of these! Malibu Stacy shows off some of her many careers and identities (my favorites are "KISS Army Stacy" and "Cosmetic Surgery Stacy"). There are also fan letters, one from a fan who Stacy thinks is a "sharp-eyed little girl" with "an unusual and charming name," Waylon Smithers. "Viva Bart"--In a Duff Beer contest, Homer wins two weeks in Bosqueverde--a tropical paradise that has been in a state of perpetual civil war for the past thirty years. "Beauty School Hellcats"--After Selma makes an effort to make DMV customers actually look good in their driver's license photos, she and Patty are given a vacation to beauty school to get rid of her creative impulses. "Cruisin' for a Bruisin'"--After ruining his and Marge's cruise by giving booze to a recovering alcoholic dolphin, Homer takes Mr. Burns's discarded yacht to start his own cruise line, with some familiar Springfield couples as guests. Hank Scorpio appears at the end in a strip unrelated to this story (he's not one of my favorite characters). "Crime Family Practice"--Short comic featuring Dr. Nick who is kidnapped to give medical treatment to the mob. "Growing Pains"--Bart gets involved in a seed-selling scam, so The Simpsons put on a Seed Fair which includes a fashion report by Joan Rivers and her daughter. However, Mr. Burns, who's allergic to growing things (makes sense), may have the last say. "The Abominable Dr. Colossus"--Dr. Colossus fans will like this book because he also appears in "Judge Marge." In this short, despite attempts at being evil and menacing, Dr. Colossus is seen as a lovable buffoon in Springfield. "Merchants of Vengeance"--A wave of shoplifting plagues Springfield and shopkeepers Ned Flanders, Apu, and the comic Book Guy ban together to fight it. Comic Book Guy loves the crime-fighting group so much, he can't let it go even when the shoplifting stops. Comic Book Guy actually shows some emotion tearing up in one box. "In Burns We Trust"--Mr. Burns takes over Rev. Lovejoy's church in his endless quest for more power. Meanwhile, Ned Flanders looks for a new church. "How Marge Got Her Curtains Back"--In this short, Marge's curtains go down the garbage disposal and she's having a hard time finding that classic corncob pattern.
