The Black Box LES400 Device Server is engineered for reliability in challenging environments where industrial intelligence must survive. UL Listed for use in Class 1 Division 2 hazardous areas and NEMA TS-2 rated for transportation applications, this rugged device serves as a high-performance conduit between serial Modbus devices and modern Ethernet networks. It is designed to protect critical automation data where safety, uptime, and precise control are non-negotiable. The LES400’s sophisticated Modbus routing capabilities, including ID-based traffic handling, conflict remapping, and priority-driven messaging, empower engineers to simplify complex networks, reduce wiring changes, and accelerate commissioning without sacrificing security or performance. With a built-in Web server for intuitive configuration and real-time monitoring, administrators can manage Modbus traffic, verify device status, and troubleshoot remotely from any standard browser. Whether deployed in manufacturing floors, mobile fleets, or remote control centers, the LES400 delivers consistent, deterministic Modbus communications that drive productivity and minimize downtime in hazardous and transportation environments.

  • Industrial-grade safety and compliance: The LES400 is UL Listed for Class 1 Division 2 hazardous locations and NEMA TS-2 rated for transportation environments. This combination guarantees that the device server meets stringent safety and ruggedness standards essential for facilities, fleets, and mobile stations operating near flammable or hazardous materials. The enclosure and electronics are engineered to withstand vibration, temperature variations, and electromagnetic interference common in industrial settings, ensuring stable Modbus connectivity where it matters most.
  • Smart Modbus routing and ID management: At the core of the LES400 lies intelligent Modbus routing that directs traffic based on Modbus ID. It also remaps conflicting Modbus IDs to prevent collision and data loss, a crucial capability when integrating multiple Modbus devices or expanding a network. This feature simplifies integration, reduces configuration errors, and enables rapid reconfiguration as plant layouts evolve. By cleanly separating device identities, the LES400 ensures predictable data flows between controllers, gateways, and remote I/O across legacy RS-485/Modbus RTU installations and modern Modbus TCP infrastructures.
  • Modbus messaging priority control: The LES400 provides configurable priority control for Modbus messages, which can be selected by source or by function code. This means time-sensitive commands—such as actuator controls or safety-critical readbacks—can be prioritized to minimize latency and maximize determinism. The ability to assign priorities helps harmonize traffic in crowded networks, reduces the risk of congestion, and supports deterministic performance for mission-critical automation tasks in harsh environments.
  • Web-based management and remote visibility: The device ships with a built-in Web server that enables straightforward configuration, status monitoring, and troubleshooting from any standard web browser. This convenient interface eliminates the need for specialized software during setup and ongoing maintenance. Operators can inspect Modbus routing tables, verify ID mappings, check port status, and review traffic statistics in real time, enabling proactive maintenance and rapid root-cause analysis without on-site visits.
  • Flexible integration for rugged industrial deployments: The LES400 is designed to bridge serial Modbus networks with Ethernet-based control systems, supporting seamless integration in factories, distribution centers, and transportation applications. Its combination of hazardous-location certification, reliable routing, and priority-based messaging makes it an ideal solution for modernizing legacy equipment while preserving safety and regulatory compliance. Heavy duty brackets!
Size: 8 Inch, Color: Gold, Size: 8 Inch, Color: Gold
These brackets are heavy duty and came with the correct hardware. They were easy to install, the two holes were so helpful to know where to mark them. I think because they’re heavy duty you can place a good amount of weight on your shelves. The only thing I wasn’t happy with is that 4/69 of shelves, the paint was chipping but it was the perfect gold color.

Dependable, Reliable
Color: Swift Grey, Size: 1 Pack, Style: USB Receiver, Color: Swift Grey, Size: 1 Pack, Style: USB Receiver
As advertised. Logitech, best mouse for your hard-earned cheddar! It’s not that the (years) old Logitech mouse failed in any operational way, it just got that gummy, sticky surface texture that’s impossible to remove. While shopping for a replacement I noticed an off-brand mouse/keyboard combo and thought, “hey, 2 for 1”…mistake. All was well for about three weeks, long enough that when the gremlins arrived I didn’t immediately associate the new hardware. For the purposes of this discussion, gentle reader, know that I run legacy (what I affectionately refer to as, “Lazarus”) builds. Rigs that started life running Windows Vista/7, died, and that now, resurrected, run 10 and 11, and all that that implies. So, when a mouse started stuttering, of course I thought it was a gremlin in the machine, right? I spent more days than I am comfortable sharing with you pouring over processes and background apps, and registry trims…before Accam’s Razor suggested I eliminate the mouse as a variable. Changing the battery was ineffective, but when I swapped in the ooold Logitech…Yahtzee/Bingo/Booyah…smooth and precise…butter! All I needed was a new Logitech mouse. So, if you’re here you likely are having mouse issues of your own, or you just need one that works…this is it! 😉
