This transmitter is used with the Forcefield Outdoor Pet Fence System, the boundary wire used with the system is connected into the transmitter and a radio signal is transmitted out through the wire around the boundary of the site. When the receiver which is attached to the dogs neck comes in close proximity to the boundary wire it picks up the radio signal which will cause the receiver to give a correctional stimulus to keep the dog contained in the designated area. There is also a charging dock in the transmitter so this unit also acts as a charger for the batteries used with the system. Power adaptor for the transmitter sold separately.
