In environments where uptime is non-negotiable—data centers, industrial automation, telecom infrastructure, and mission-critical embedded systems—the Advantech W/PFC Redundant Power Module delivers scalable, reliable power with intelligent efficiency. Built to accommodate global power standards, this module supports both 120 V AC and 230 V AC inputs, making regional deployments seamless without the need for multiple power supplies or adapters. With integrated Power Factor Correction (PFC), it not only stabilizes input voltage and reduces reactive power but also enhances overall system efficiency, which can lower operating costs and improve compliance with modern electrical standards. The unit is TAA compliant, ensuring smooth procurement for government and enterprise customers. Designed to integrate smoothly with Advantech platforms, it helps protect sensitive equipment from power irregularities while contributing to a cleaner, more predictable power profile for critical applications.

  • Dual-voltage operation: Supports 120 V AC and 230 V AC input, enabling global deployment without the need for voltage adapters or rewiring; ideal for regional footprints and multinational deployments.
  • Redundant power architecture: Built to promote uptime in demanding environments by providing a resilient power path that supports uninterrupted operation when paired with compatible host systems.
  • Power Factor Correction (PFC): Integrated PFC improves electrical efficiency, reduces mains current, and helps easing compliance with power quality standards while potentially lowering utility costs over time.
  • TAA compliant: Trade Agreements Act compliance ensures suitability for U.S. government procurement and other regulated environments, expanding the range of eligible use cases.
  • Easy integration and robust design: Engineered to fit with Advantech chassis and rack systems, featuring dependable connectors and a design focused on reliability in industrial settings and harsh operating conditions.

Technical Details of Advantech W/PFC Redundant Power Module

  • Redundancy capability: Redundant power architecture to help maintain operation in critical deployments wherever supported by the host platform.
  • Power Factor Correction: Includes built-in PFC to improve efficiency and reduce reactive power draw from the electrical grid.
  • Compliance: TAA compliant, enabling procurement flexibility for government and large enterprises.
  • Compatibility: Designed for seamless integration with Advantech W/PFC ecosystems and compatible industrial chassis and systems.

How to install Advantech W/PFC Redundant Power Module

  • Prepare the system: Power down the host equipment completely and disconnect all power sources. Ground yourself to prevent static discharge and handle components with care.
  • Verify compatibility: Confirm that the target chassis or enclosure supports the W/PFC Redundant Power Module and that the available slot or mounting location is appropriate for secure installation.
  • Position and mount the module: Insert the redundant power module into the designated slot or mounting area following the manufacturer’s installation guidelines, ensuring firm seating and proper alignment with connectors.
  • Make electrical connections: Attach the appropriate 120 V AC and/or 230 V AC power cords according to regional standards, using appropriate strain relief and securing cables to prevent movement or disconnection during operation.
  • Power up and verify: Restore power and boot the system. Check for correct recognition of the module by the host, review any management software or indicators, and confirm that the power paths operate as expected without faults.

Frequently asked questions

Different mounting mechanism than photos
Color: Light Brown, Size: 4, Color: Light Brown, Size: 4
I'm going to start off this review by stating that the mounting mechanism used on the Shelf is different than the one shown in the photo. In the photo, it shows a single bar which would have made the Shelf easier to level however, the product I received has two separate bars which means I have to be extra careful holding a level against the paper. Stencil. The reason I chose this product over different listings was because for a dollar or two more its photo showed a single bar. Now for the pros and cons: Pros: Accurate measurement. Shelf appears to be actual wood! The photos made it looks like a veneer, which it is not. Easy to install. Includes good instructions. Seems like it can hold items fairly well. Cons: The mounting hardware for drywall pretty flimsy, and I stripped out some of the drywall anchors during install. They still worked, but it was annoying to finish inserting them. The shelf doesn't sit fully flush to the wall from factory as the screws included make it protrude slightly. I can fix this with my dremel, However, This could have been solved from the factory by making the cavity slightly deeper. As mentioned above in my main detractor, it is a two bar mounting system rather than a one bar, which was shown in the photo.

Pleased overall
Color: Light Brown, Size: 4
They have an unfinished feel, and the underside screws used to hold the shelf on the poles strip out really easy. Tighten those by hand and with care. Other than that, they look great and were easy to install. Came with a full set of hardware including anchors for various wall types. Stable enough to hold small to medium sized Lego sets (don't try to put Lego Hogwarts size kits on them--not big enough). Bought 3 sets of 4 and used others as Book shelves. They work very well for novel size or paperback sized books. Just make sure you anchor them well into the wall. These will only be as good as the installation.

Nice and Inexpensive!
Color: Light Brown, Size: 4, Color: Light Brown, Size: 4
Thé shelves are good quality and easy to hang. Thé instructions do leave a bit to be desired as they misidentify which anchor to use for dry wall. I followed instructions for the first shelf and it was not very stable. I switched to the other anchors and it was great. All hardware in included. These require minimum size holes in your wall, but it is a floating shelf so be prepared to patch when you take them down.  It’s a set of 4 so a good value!

Not worth the time
Color: Light Brown, Size: 4
Plastic pieces for the dry wall broke and also created an even bigger hole in the wall. One of the shelves wouldn’t even stay level despite following all instructions. Wood gives you splinters as well since it’s not sanded down.
