The ZOMS-TR12V wireless 12-volt projector trigger from Elite Screens is a compact, high‑reliability accessory that transforms outdoor viewing into a cable‑free, seamless experience. Specifically engineered to coordinate your Yard Master Electric outdoor projection screen with your projector, this transmitter allows the screen to deploy in perfect sync with your video source — without any wire runs or manual intervention. In backyard cinemas, storefront displays, or event venues, the ZOMS-TR12V makes setup cleaner and operation simpler, letting you focus on the film or presentation while the system handles the timing automatically. With a design that prioritizes performance and ease of use, this wireless trigger transmitter is ideal for users who demand professional results with minimal installation effort.

  • Wireless 12-volt trigger technology: The ZOMS-TR12V captures the moment your projector powers on and transmits a clean 12V signal to the Yard Master Electric screen motor. This trigger signal is delivered without any physical cables between the projector and the screen, reducing clutter and eliminating trip hazards in outdoor spaces. The result is precise, on‑command screen deployment aligned with the projector’s startup sequence, so your audience experiences a perfectly timed reveal every time you press play.
  • Plug-and-play installation: Designed for simplicity, this transmitter plugs directly into the projector’s trigger output port. No complex wiring diagrams or extra power supplies are required. Once connected, you set the screen to respond to the trigger signal, and the system is ready to go. The effortless setup makes it suitable for homeowners, rental apps, classrooms, and small business demonstrations where quick deployment and reliability are essential.
  • Optimized for outdoor performance: Built to support outdoor environments, the ZOMS-TR12V is compact and discreet, designed to sit near the projector without interfering with ventilation or heat management. Its wireless link maintains stability in typical backyard, patio, or venue layouts, helping ensure consistent screen operation regardless of ambient conditions. The device’s minimal footprint helps preserve the aesthetic of outdoor installations while delivering dependable performance night after night.
  • Seamless integration with Elite Screens Yard Master Electric: The transmitter is purpose-built to coordinate with Elite Screens’ Yard Master Electric line, delivering synchronized screen motion with the projector’s power-up and shut-down cycles. When you power on the projector, the screen lowers promptly; when you power it off, the screen retracts as designed. This tight integration ensures a polished, cinema-like experience and reduces the risk of mis-timed deployments during crucial moments in your show or event.
  • Enhanced convenience, safety, and versatility: By removing long trigger cables from the setup, you not only reduce clutter but also minimize wear on connectors and ports. The wireless trigger is particularly beneficial for outdoor installations, mobile setups, or temperate environments where easy configuration and quick repositioning are valuable. The ZOMS-TR12V helps protect equipment by offering a cleaner, safer signal path and enabling consistent operation across multiple viewing sessions.

how to install Elite Screens Projection Screen Wireless Trigger Transmitter

Setting up the ZOMS-TR12V is straightforward and efficient. Follow these steps to achieve a clean, wireless integration between your projector and Yard Master Electric screen:

  • Step 1: Position the transmitter near the projector and identify the projector’s trigger output port (the standard 12V trigger connection). If your projector uses a 12V trigger jack, you’re ready to proceed.
  • Step 2: Plug the ZOMS-TR12V into the projector’s trigger output port. Ensure the connection is secure and that the transmitter is oriented to receive a stable signal from the projector during startup.
  • Step 3: Configure the Yard Master Electric screen to respond to a 12V trigger input if required. This may involve setting the screen’s motor to the proper trigger mode so it matches the transmitter’s output.
  • Step 4: Power on the projector to test the system. The screen should begin to deploy automatically as soon as the projector powers up, delivering a synchronized presentation experience with no cable between the projector and the screen.
  • Step 5: Perform final checks. Confirm that the screen retracts when the projector powers down and that the deployment timing aligns with your preferred startup sequence. If your installation includes multiple viewing zones or additional equipment, verify that all trigger-enabled devices respond correctly to the signal.

Frequently asked questions

  • Is the transmitter compatible with all projectors? The ZOMS-TR12V is designed for projectors with a standard 12V trigger output and Elite Screens Yard Master Electric screens. If your projector uses a nonstandard trigger or a different signaling method, compatibility may vary, and you should consult your projector’s documentation before use.
  • Does it require batteries or an external power source? No. The transmitter draws power from the projector’s trigger circuit, so no separate power supply or battery is necessary for normal operation.
  • Can I use this transmitter indoors as well as outdoors? Yes. While it is optimized for outdoor Yard Master Electric installations, the wireless trigger functionality works in indoor environments where a compatible screen and projector setup are used. Ensure the signal environment is free from excessive interference for best reliability.
  • What is the advantage of going wireless? A wireless trigger eliminates long, visible cables, reduces setup time, minimizes tripping hazards, and preserves a clean, professional appearance for outdoor presentations or home theater spaces. It also reduces wear on projector ports and screen motor inputs by removing repetitive cable movement.
  • What if my projector does not provide a 12V trigger? If your projector lacks a standard 12V trigger output, this transmitter may not function as intended. Check the projector’s connectivity options or consider an alternative control method compatible with your projector model and screen.
  • Is there any maintenance required? The transmitter is a low-maintenance accessory. Periodically inspect connectors to ensure a secure fit and confirm that the wireless link remains stable in your setup environment.

This Timex Ironman lives up to its name
Color: Black/Digital Gray/Black
Timex Ironman watches have been with me for a decade. This particular one I just ordered as a backup for the same one that I have had for seven years (and still works perfectly). I don't know why I ordered a backup except that I love it so much that I couldn't fathom the idea that Timex might discontinue this model. Why do I love it so much? Because it is functional in many ways. Aside from its durability, reliability and the fact that it fits on my wrist so comfortably, it is easy to read and extremely useful for tasks that need countdown alarms as well as regular timers (it has three which you can set). Since I gave up "fashionable" watches years ago in favor of practical, easy to read, multifunctional devises I found this Timex the best of all the other brands that I have tried in this category. Years ago, President Bill Clinton, who jogged regularly, was heavily chastised for wearing a very functional Timex Ironman watch in the Oval Office instead of what the professional politicians considered appropriate for a President. It was then that I realized how important it was for a person to wear a watch that they loved, and that was functional for them. At that point in time I had many other watches that I didn't jettison until later when I realized that I need only wear the watch that I loved and was useful to me. I still have another watch that I saved for "appropriate" times out but have only worn it once. The rest of the time my Timex Ironman stays on my wrist wherever I go.

A very comfy, pleasant casual sports watch- especially good for training
Color: Black/Digital Gray/Silver-Tone, Color: Black/Digital Gray/Silver-Tone
The Ironman series of watches has been around for about 40 years now, and with good reason. The current iteration doesn't disappoint. It's light weight, easy-to-read, has a good backlight, offers simple operation, great buttons, a decently loud chime, and is a feature rich watch. I purchased this one on a lark; it was sold as "used- very good" from an Amazon warehouse for $20. The Timex packaging/ box was damaged, but the watch itself was new, wrapped and seemed unused. Since I do not wear an item's packaging, I always look for such items when shopping on Amazon, as it can save quite a bit. In this case it was $12 less expensive, or about 1/3 less costly. I have owned a digital watch for over 40 years; from left to right in the photo- my 1980 Seiko (owned since new), my daily Casio, which has solar and atomic clock radio signal time setting, and the Ironman for you to compare size. Owning a number of Casio digital watches, I was pleasantly surprised by the comfort and ease of use of this Timex Ironman. The Ironman does feel somewhat more "plasticky" that some Casio watches I have, which may influence some buyers. But once you get past that feel, if you like the look of the watch, it's a great offering, especially at a $20 price point. The on the Ironman, a chronograph, a countdown timer, a second time zone, three alarms, 30 lap records, occasion reminders , and a perpetual calendar make it comparable, or better than many of the similarly priced Casio offerings. The Ironman does not feel quite as substantial as some of the lower cost G-Shock offerings I have tried, but is at least as comfy on my 7 1/2 inch wrist. Water resistance seems fine at 100 meters, and the recessed plastic crystal should avoid most scratches. The features should be very useful for those who do not want to wear a smartwatch for training. I hope this review has been helpful.

So far so good
Color: Brown
I have had issues with other models/variations of the timex expedition in the past, so I was hesitant to get an even more expensive version of it, but I just really liked this watch so I gave it a shot. I was looking for a new “daily driver” watch as I have a bunch of nicer, more expensive watches that I didn’t want to wear to work at a hospital. I like the solar charging feature for sure as I change my own watch batteries and it can be a pain sometimes. It’s a nice weighty watch, which I like because it feels solid, not cheap. So far it seems to be keeping time well, which is an issue I’ve had with other expeditions in the past. I really like the look of this watch a lot. It’s a sharp looking watch without being too flashy or fancy so it can be worn with just about any attire. I will note that because of the solar feature, it needs to be charged well before setting the time. I placed it under a led light for about 24 hours before setting the time and using it and when I don’t wear it I place it near a window. So far I’m really liking it, but I haven’t had it long enough to really know about long-term reliability. I will update if any issues arise.

Timex Expedition Solar a no frills fine watch
Color: Brown/Blue
The watch came uncharged. I guess you're supposed to charge the watch by exposing it to sunlight. There was no sunlight and I wasn't about to wait for any. I placed it in front of one of my ultra-bright led flashlights for about 5 hours that night. It's been working fine ever since. I'll expose it to sunlight when I see some. It's a nice looking watch, no bells and whistles but it's been keeping excellent time. I swapped out the band for a NATO which I find more dependable. The price shouldn't put you in the poor house and if it's like all the other Timex watches I've owned, I'll be happy with it.
