Winemaker Notes

Stags' Leap Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is exuberant and expressive, with a bounty of wild bramble berry fruits alongside lifted floral notes of lavender and violet. There are also warmer spiced notes of Crème brûlée, allspice and black pepper, a nod from the seamless oak integration. On the palate, juicy cassis, black currant and blackberry are supported by hints of delicate red rose, brown butter and bittersweet chocolate, giving this Cabernet a rich depth and complexity. Cocoa-powdery tannins provide a pleasurable mouthcoating texture, all enfolding into a lengthy mouthwatering finish. Very approachable and pleasing upon release, this wine is sure to impress and pair well alongside many culinary dishes.

About Winery

A fashionable country resort in the mid-twentieth century, popular with Hollywood due to its 1892 stone Manor House and historic gardens, legends of bootleggers and gangsters, ghosts and gypsies, Stags' Leap has been home to three major family groups up through the modern revitalization of the winery that began in the 1970s.

Stags Leap Manor, as it was called in the 1920s, was known as one of the prominent country retreats in the Napa Valley at a time when resort and spa business was big. In addition to lodging and dining, amenities included lawn tennis, swimming, horseback riding, children's activities, golf, music, cards, a library, and Napa Valley wines and liquors (prior to and after Prohibition).

An intimate valley within the greater Napa Valley, Stags Leap is a place of natural beauty, storied buildings and gardens, a lively history, and a reputation for elegant wines showing finesse and intensity.

Fast-paced and fun
Format: Kindle
Kiyoshi Harai is 16 and a recent graduate of the exorcist academy. He’s insanely powerful, but the problem is, he’s terrified of demons, thanks to a childhood trauma. He also has social anxiety, which only shows on the inside. On the outside, he looks cool and glowering. The first volume follows Kiyoshi from his first assignment to his first exorcism post in the boons, which he chooses because of his hero who works there. He gets over his fear of demons pretty fast, thanks to a fatherly demon he needs to banish who gives him encouragement. At his post, he enrolls to a high school and gets to work on his other anxieties. This was a fun and fast-paced start to a series. Many demons were banished, but the line between good and bad people was blurry, and Kiyoshi made some unlikely friends too. Art was good. I’d read more.
