Experience a new level of storage performance with the Cisco 200 GB Solid State Drive (SSD) for internal SAS deployments. This enterprise-grade SSD is engineered to deliver faster data access, improved system responsiveness, and dependable storage for demanding workloads. With a compact 200 GB capacity, it’s an efficient choice for operating system boot drives, frequently accessed data caches, databases, virtualization workspaces, and other latency-sensitive applications. Built to integrate into SAS-based infrastructures, this Cisco internal SSD helps streamline deployments, shorten boot and load times, and reduce I/O bottlenecks in both data centers and workstations. Whether you are refreshing an existing server, expanding a virtualization cluster, or provisioning a reliable OS drive, this drive provides a solid, scalable foundation for modern enterprise storage needs.

  • High-performance SAS storage: This internal SAS SSD is designed to deliver low latency and strong IOPS under concurrent workloads, accelerating boot times, application launches, and data-intensive transactions. In environments where speed matters—from databases to virtual machines—the drive helps keep response times tight and user experiences smooth.
  • Reliable internal storage for a variety of workloads: With 200 GB of fast-access capacity, the drive is well suited for operating system partitions, application data, caching layers, and fast-access storage pools. It maintains consistent performance even as multiple users and processes contend for I/O, making it a dependable backbone for critical workloads.
  • Internal drive for straightforward deployment: Optimized for internal SAS bays, this SSD offers a simple, space-efficient way to upgrade or expand storage without introducing external enclosures or complex cabling. Its compact design supports clean rack and chassis configurations, helping IT teams manage density and airflow in crowded environments.
  • Enterprise-grade reliability and durability: Cisco’s SSDs are built to support business-critical operations with robust data integrity features. The drive provides dependable endurance necessary for continuous operation in servers and workstations, helping to safeguard data integrity and reduce downtime associated with storage faults.
  • Energy-efficient operation and cooler performance: Solid-state technology typically consumes less power and generates less heat than traditional spinning disks. This translates into lower cooling requirements, quieter operation, and more efficient energy use—benefits that scale across single servers to large data centers.

Technical Details of Cisco 200 GB Solid State Drive - Internal - SAS

  • Capacity: 200 GB
  • Drive type: Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
  • Interface: SAS (Serial Attached SCSI)
  • Usage: Internal storage for servers, workstations, and enterprise environments requiring fast, reliable access to data

How to install Cisco 200 GB Solid State Drive - Internal - SAS

  • Power down the system and unplug all cables. Ground yourself to prevent static discharge before handling components.
  • Open the chassis or server cover to access the internal drive bays and the SAS backplane. Identify an available SAS slot or drive bay compatible with your rack, server, or workstation model.
  • Insert the 200 GB SAS SSD into the designated internal bay. Align the connectors with the backplane and slide the drive into place until it is firmly seated. Secure the drive with any required screws or mounting brackets specified by your chassis.
  • Connect the SAS data and power cables to the drive and backplane. Ensure cables are fully seated and routed to minimize interference with fans and other components.
  • Power on the system and enter BIOS/UEFI or the system’s storage management interface. Confirm that the new SSD is detected and recognized as a storage device.
  • Initialize the drive in your operating system or RAID controller if applicable. Create partitions, assign a drive letter or mount point, and format using the appropriate file system for your workload (NTFS, ext4, XFS, or others as required).
  • Update firmware if an update is available through Cisco or your server vendor’s update mechanism, and verify health and SMART attributes after the first full workload cycle to ensure stability.

Fuzzballs get wearing once
Color: Black, Size: X-Large
Very smart to wear, but the quality is terrible so after one wash the collar start fraying and fuzzballs start forming. Very disappointing.

Almost the perfect watch
Color: Black/Blue
I have owned three earlier models of these things going back to the days when I actually ran road races. They are brilliant pieces of work. My only complaint of them was that the start/stop/split button(s)--there were two on the older models--were too small. Well, apparently Timex listens and the two small buttons are now combined into one larger one. Probably this was done years ago but I'm only now getting back into road work, so now I get to discover it. The perfect watch? Almost. I especially like this model as my eyes are not what they used to be and the oversized face makes it easier to read. The downside to this is that it also makes the crystal easier to scratch. That's always been an issue, but I can live with it. No, the real problem with this product is, was, and apparently ever shall be, the band. Now, it could be worse, it could be a resin band (like the old ones) that will crack and break within a couple of years, but no, this is a nylon and velcro wrap style which should be just dandy, but for three glitches: 1. it's too short 2. it's too narrow (gee whiz, Timex designers, it's an oversized watch, why not a matching oversized band?) and 3. it's still resin where it attaches to the actual watch. Now, I imagine it's probably less prone to breakage in how it's implemented, but if you should choose to replace it, I can see no obvious way of removing it short of cutting it off. Really? But these are minor complaints. I doubt it would be comfortable on anyone whose wrists are much bigger than my own, but replacement bands are everywhere, and this watch will keep time with style and it's brilliant at splits. Heck, it even functions admirably as a backup for my expensive stopwatches at our regular short track stock car events. For my money (and did I mention the price is wonderful?) the Ironman is still the best at what it does, and for what it can do.

Good hard use watch.
Color: Black/Silver-Tone
Review Calibration: 3 stars means it works as advertised, nothing special during use, and no amazing features. Higher stars mean better-than-expected performance and features. This is 5 stars because it is my favorite work/hard-use watch. I have been wearing one for years, and like all Timex watches, it can take a beating. I have to replace it when the band's ears get so damaged that they won't hold the band on. This has more to do with the plastic's lifespan than with a design issue. I am hard on watches. This watch normally lasts ne 7-10 years between replacements.

Typical Ironman quality
Color: Black/Silver-Tone
This is my fourth Timex Ironman watch. I own many watches, and prefer the Ironman for casual wear and sporting activities as well as swimming and snorkeling. I decided to replace an earlier model with this one rather than pay to change the battery. The Ironman has changed very little over the years since its introduction in the '80s, with the exception of cosmetic improvememnts and a larger display. I selected the "oversize" model as I was looking for a little more heft to this model. This watch fits the bill, not as chunky as my G-Shock. A pleasant surprise was the weight of the watch. This model is lightweight, another advantage over the G. It's larger than the typical Ironman model, but about the same weight. The band lacks the stiffness of some other Timex and Casio models, and is quite comfortable. Typical Ironman functions are unchanged, and the ability to "hide" various functions makes operation of the watch more efficient. There are three time zones, useful when traveling, as well as the usual chronograph/timer and alarm functions. I haven't worn the watch in the pool or ocean yet, but if experience is any guide, I expect no problems. I've never had an Ironman leak, whether during water sports or snorkeling. These are great watches for the money. I prefer 200 meter water resistance for this type of watch, but Timex has yet to build an Ironman 200m that doesn't overwhelm my wrist in weight and size. I'm not a big guy, and they are simply too large for my wrist. Looking forward to years of service with this watch. Definitely a good timepiece for the price.
