Background - What is initiating quality audits?

Quality auditing refers to the systematic, independent, documented review and evaluation of an organization’s quality control system (QMS). It determines whether quality activities or results conform to a strategic arrangement that is effective implemented and appropriate to reach the goals. A quality audit is usually conducted by either an internal or external quality auditor, or an audit team at agreed times. It ensures that an organization has a clearly defined system of quality monitoring. It is an important part of the ISO 9001 standard for quality management.

Audits are vital to ensure maximum benefit for an organization. This is an important tool to:

This course Initial quality audits (based on BSBAUD511) covers the knowledge and skills needed to start and organize quality audits. This includes communicating with auditors, assessing the objectives and scope of quality inspections, as well as developing and submitting quality assurance plans.

This course is open to those who have a strong knowledge base in quality assurance and are skilled at using a variety quality management and auditing techniques to conduct quality audits. Individuals can also monitor and supervise the activities and results of others in a quality-audit team.

Our Initiate quality audits course is based on the unit of competency of BSBAUD5 11. Whilst this course is not nationally recognised, it follows the learning outcomes and elements associated with that unit. The course contains
