Thanks to its active ingredients that help fight pain and irritations in the most delicate and subject-to-chafing areas of the body, it's recommended for both male and female athletes.

DOWN UNDER chamois cream is structured to protect and hydrate those areas of the skin that are more subject to chafing, sweat & irritation caused by  contact with clothing & long hours on a saddle.

Our cream contains ozonated sunflower oil & essential citrus oils with anti-bacterial properties that help repair irritation and further pain.

Ideally used as a pre-emptive measure, it's also good to use after sports activities, to soothe any skin reddening, blistering or soreness.

The back story to how this product came about from one of the founders:

I started using Chamois cream many, many years ago after being spotted at the Tour Down Under in a great lot of pain, walking like a cowboy after riding big kms every day, day after day. The girl who saw me, recognising the awkward walk, told me about Chamois cream and gave me some of her favourite brand in a small plastic bag to try -I’ve been using chamois cream ever since, before and after and never suffered so much again. I’ve tried many brands and there were some shockers -anything with Menthol was ‘fire down under’ and I’m not sure why or who thinks that menthol on sensitive areas feels good & as you warm up, it gets even hotter down there! The other thing that I didn’t like was the awful scents, usually smelly like aging lotharios, obviously created by old men who think cheap aftershave scents are appealing. My dream was to create a perfectly textured, smooth Chamois Cream, with antibacterial properties that smelt beautiful.

We started the development process early 2020, just as Covid broke out around the world. I thought using an Australian Company was a good selling point. 2 years later with no progress with the 1^st company and terrible samples we moved to a 2^nd Australian Company. We joked how if we’d made our cream with a Chinese company it would have been ready to sell in 6 weeks from start. 2 more years of sampling and terrible scents and either too thin or too thick creams and eventually I made up the scent composition of Orange oil, Bergamot and Geranium and was mixing creams in my Thermomix better than the samples we’d been getting.

we have finally received our finished sample -not aware that every country has different laws regarding labelling of cream we can only sell currently in Australia. If we remake our Down Under Chamois cream -we’ll redo our packaging so we can legally sell it worldwide. Until then, Australian Cyclists can delight in our Down Under Chamois Cream and ride in comfort and hopefully enjoy pain free cycling with the lovely scents of Citrus, Bergamot & Geranium, before & after your ride.
