Unlike generic BMS units that offer limited configurability, the REC 2Q provides galvanically isolated communication interfaces, high-accuracy measurements, and flexible integration options. It addresses common risks such as cell imbalance, over-discharge, and thermal runaway by combining precise monitoring with programmable protection thresholds.

Flexible Communication and Integration
The REC 2Q BMS supports CAN Bus protocols for managed batteries, with pre-configured options for Victron, SMA, Solax, Studer Innotec, Growatt, Solis, Pylontech, Deye, TBB Power, TC Charger, Zivan, and custom configurations. Bitrates from 100 kbit/s to 1 Mbit/s and both 11-bit and 29-bit IDs are supported. The galvanically isolated RS-485 interface enables direct connection to the optional REC Wi-Fi unit for wireless configuration and data logging, or integration into home automation and industrial control systems.
Built for Demanding Environments
With an operating temperature range of -20 °C to 70 °C and IP32 protection, the REC 2Q BMS is engineered for reliability in mobile and stationary installations. The compact 190 x 98.4 x 38 mm housing and 4.5 mm mounting holes allow straightforward installation in confined spaces. The unit's low power consumption (180–190 mW during operation at 48V) minimises parasitic drain on the battery pack.
