The analogue Matrix-1000 is essentially 1,000 Matrix patches in a single-space compact rackmount MIDI module. It has the same synth architecture as the Matrix 6. Each of its 6 voices have two DCO's, a low pass filter, 2 VCA's, 3 envelope gens, 2 LFO's, and 2 ramp gens. You can also load sounds from the Matrix 6 via SysEx or software.

The Matrix 1000 provides an excellent source of pads, textures and ambient sounds. It has 195 "keyboard" sounds, 118 "strings", 130 "woodwinds & perc", 239 "synthesizer", 119 "bass", 74 "lead" and 125 "effects". For the price, there is no better way to find genuine analog Oberheim Matrix sounds in a compact and very in-expensive rack module that is loaded with more sounds than you'll ever need! This Matrix-1000 has been upgraded with the Tauntek Eprom, version 1.20. This upgrade does the following:

The Tauntek differs from the V1.11 factory firmware in these respects:

• It fixes the bugs concerning MIDI control of parameters 29 (ENV2 to VCA) and 53 (ENV1 Sustain) 
• Unison detune can be controlled via MIDI CC #94. 
• While tweaking a parameter, the Matrix displays the value on its LED display
• Parameter can be controlled via MIDI NRPN, according to standard
• Fast control response: Smooth, musical control of the most-used parameters – the handling of 20 frequently-used parameters is speeded up to real-time. No stepping, no freezing.

• This is a used unit. 
  
  
• Physically this unit is in great condition. It shows some general wear from use and age like some marks, scratches and nicks on the top mainly. Some smaller ones can be found on the faceplate. The rack ears are very slightly bent. 
  
  
• This unit has been throughly tested and we can confirm it is working as it should. 
  
  
• This Matrix-1000 has had a brand new memory battery installed. All factory patches are present. 
  
  
• This unit uses an IEC cable to power on. This cable is not included in the sale. 
  
  
• This Oberheim is 100-240V. This means it can be used anywhere in the world! It has a voltage selector on the bottom of the unit. At the moment it is set up for 220-240V. If you are from overseas please ensure the switch has been set to the correct mains power position for your country.
