L'assaggio è dotato di grande corpo e struttura, con una trama tannica fitta e avvolgente e una freschezza che favorisce la bevibilità.In questa bottiglia troviamo la classicità del primitivo: frutto di alberelli con un'età media di 60 anni, viene vinificato in maniera tradizionale e con l'uso di lieviti indigeni che esaltano maggiormente le peculiarità del vitigno. Il Puglia IGP Primitivo Rosso "Maccone" di Angiuli Donato è un vino a tutto tondo, potente, espressivo, figlio e massima espressione della sua terra.
L'accompagnamento ideale per questo vino sono le carni rosse, anche alla griglia o strutturate e la selvaggina. Un abbinamento particolarmente piacevole è con formaggi stagionati.
