Why You'll Love It

The Princess Cut Solitaire Engagement Ring is the definitive modern solitaire — a 1ct princess-cut lab-grown diamond set in a classic four-prong head on a plain polished band in solid 14K gold. The princess cut is the most geometric diamond shape: a perfect square face with sharp corners and 58 brilliant facets arranged to return light through the crown in a pattern of intense, concentrated fire that no other square cut achieves. The four-prong setting holds the stone at each corner, leaving the four faces of the princess cut open to light and maximizing the brilliance that enters and exits the stone from every angle. The plain band — no pavé, no milgrain, no engraving — keeps the focus entirely on the diamond, making the 1ct princess cut the sole visual statement of the ring. This is the ring for those who want the diamond to be the entire story.

The Princess Cut

The princess cut was developed in the 1960s as a square alternative to the round brilliant — a cut that could deliver the fire and scintillation of a brilliant cut in a square silhouette that no previous square cut had achieved. Its 58 facets are arranged in a chevron pattern beneath the square table, creating a light return pattern that is more intense and more concentrated than the round brilliant in some lighting conditions and equally brilliant in others. The square face of the princess cut sits differently on the finger than an oval or round stone: it reads as bold, geometric, and confident — a stone that makes a statement through its shape as much as through its size. At 1ct, the princess cut has a face-up diameter of approximately 5.5mm — a size that is substantial enough to read clearly on the finger and precise enough to wear comfortably every day.

The Four-Prong Corner Setting

The four-prong setting of the Princess Cut Solitaire places one prong at each corner of the square diamond — the most natural and most secure way to hold a princess cut. The corner prongs protect the four sharp corners of the princess cut — the most vulnerable points of the stone, where chipping is most likely to occur — while leaving the four faces of the diamond completely open to light. This prong placement maximizes the light that enters and exits the princess cut from its four faces, enhancing its brilliance and fire, while the four prongs provide secure, symmetrical support that holds the stone in precise alignment with the band. The prongs are slim and tapered, minimizing their visual presence and allowing the princess cut to read as the dominant element of the ring.

The Plain Band

The plain polished band of the Princess Cut Solitaire is a deliberate design choice — a band that disappears beneath the center stone, leaving nothing between the princess cut diamond and the finger but the four slim corner prongs that hold it. The plain band is the most enduring band design in fine jewelry: it does not date, it does not compete with the center stone, and it pairs naturally with any wedding band — plain gold, diamond eternity, or pavé — without creating visual conflict. The comfort-fit inner shank — slightly rounded on the inside — makes the ring comfortable for all-day wear, distributing the weight of the band evenly across the finger rather than concentrating it at the edges.

Why Lab-Grown Diamond?

Lab-grown diamonds are chemically, physically, and optically identical to mined diamonds — the same carbon crystal structure, the same hardness (10 on the Mohs scale), the same refractive index, the same fire and brilliance. They are graded by the same gemological laboratories using the same 4Cs criteria. A 1ct lab-grown princess cut delivers the same visual impact as a 1ct mined princess cut — the same square face, the same corner prongs, the same concentrated fire — at a price point that makes the 1ct size accessible without compromise on cut quality or color.

Craftsmanship Specs

Styling Notes

The Princess Cut Solitaire pairs naturally with a plain gold band or a slim diamond eternity band worn on the same finger. Its plain band width is narrow enough to sit flush against most wedding bands without a gap, and its low cathedral profile accommodates a flat-profile band beside it without lifting the center stone uncomfortably high. In white gold, the cool metal and colorless diamond create a clean, icy precision. In yellow gold, the warm metal gives the colorless princess cut a rich, editorial contrast that is simultaneously classic and current. In rose gold, the warm blush metal creates a romantic warmth that softens the geometric severity of the square cut.

Gifting & Occasions

The Princess Cut Solitaire Engagement Ring is the ideal proposal ring for those who value clean geometry, modern restraint, and the diamond as the sole statement. Its plain band and classic four-prong setting make it appropriate for any style and any occasion, and its 1ct princess cut delivers the visual impact of a statement ring in the most enduring and most versatile solitaire format we make.

Our Story

In our Queens atelier, the Princess Cut Solitaire was designed around a single conviction: that the most beautiful engagement ring is the one that makes the diamond the entire story. The plain band was chosen because it disappears beneath the center stone. The four corner prongs were chosen because they protect the stone and maximize its light. The princess cut was chosen because it is the most geometric, the most modern, and the most concentrated expression of diamond brilliance in a square silhouette. Named for the SoHo neighborhood where the design was first sketched — clean lines, confident geometry, no unnecessary ornament — the SoHo Princess is a ring that earns its name with every movement of the hand.

Baby bumps and bodyguards
Format: Kindle
Dark, emotional, and unexpectedly tender, Not Ready is an omegaverse romance that delivers found family feels, fierce protectiveness, and a very pregnant heroine who refuses to break. Vale’s on the run from a stalker, but lands in the arms of three private security alphas, cue the swoony tension, fake marriage twist, and slow-burn heat. It’s a little gritty, a little soft, and a whole lot addictive. If you love protective alphas, high stakes, and heroines with quiet strength, this one’s a must-read.

Strong Omegaverse Comfort and a Attention Grabbing Plot
Format: Kindle
Jillian West never misses when it comes to Omegaverse, and Not Ready is no exception. This story was the perfect blend of cozy comfort and emotional depth while still delivering a strong plot. Vale is such a powerful heroine, she is strong, capable, and determined but I love that she still allows her pack to love and take care of her. It’s that balance of independence and vulnerability that makes her so relatable. The relationship dynamics were amazing: Bishop is steadfast and completely head over heels, Mercy is skeptical but protective in his own way, and Holt is the hesitant one whose slow fall is so satisfying to watch unfold. The romance hits that sweet spot between insta-love and cautious build, keeping me hooked the entire way through. And that ending. Oh my god, the cliffhanger! I need the next book in this duet immediately.

Interesting
Format: Kindle
So I will say I enjoyed the story, for sure had its moments where it dragged but it was a great story. I really liked that omegas picked their alphas/make the pack. Normally the Alphas make it and the omega fits in with them which is great but I enjoyed this new version where all the power basically went to the omega. It was a nice change of pace. I can admit some of the weird bedroom stuff with her being pregnant was odd, it’s really not hard to do stuff when pregnant (I know I’ve had two and it’s normal and even encouraged at the end especially if you want the baby out). But I like the story as a whole and will read the second, I do hope the next one isn’t dragged bc it stopped being action or tense after she met her alphas and I don’t think it was brought up or properly done when they tried to do it. More sweet after she left.

I’m a little disappointed.
Format: Kindle
I usually like Jillian West’s books but this one was missing a lot for me. The pregnancy didn’t come across as real. She’s on her feet for 12 hour days but is perfectly healthy at 8 months pregnant? Yet the week she moves in all of a sudden she’s not? She is planning on actually running during one of the plot buildups. But at 8 months pregnant that’s incredibly hard to do. The lack of breathing ability and lung space, the change in body center, mass, and gravity. All of it prohibits running, unless you’re an athlete this didn’t come off as at all realistic. I didn’t feel any connection with the alphas. There wasn’t any emotional connection. It could be because of the tense it was written in. But I didn’t get any deep feelings out of this. It came across as checking off boxes. Even the spicy scenes weren’t really believable for me. I wanted to see them fall for her, and it just kind of all fizzled. Even Bishop. One thing I did really like was the ending. I did not see it coming and I’m interested in reading book two because of it. But on the whole this book was mostly disappointing for me.

4.25 stars

Vale is an 8 month pregnant omega working as a waitress at a strip club and a cam girl. She starts to get very creepy vibes from a regular at the club, and her baby daddy ghosted her. She has had an online relationship with a man named Bishop through her cam girl status. One night, bishop was paying to watch her sleep and ansthe creepy regular Andrew break in and watch her sleep he tells vale to come to him at his business now. She flees and finds herself at a large security company with some.hot of alphas who are there to help her. This imegaverse is a little different than I have read, but I am thoroughly enjoying it. Vale is not a traditional omega she was raised by a single beta mom, and the alphas are not normal alphas they have never really loved pack life. But they are ruthless mercenaries. They need her, and she needs them. I love the aspect of the stalker and now the plot twists at the end, so so good. Sometimes, it seemed a little slow and stale mated, but since this a duet, I think It was just her starting to have Vale get to know her alpha suitors. Cliffhanger for sure with this one.
